Besides the normal clean-up of toys, I'm in need of a simple chore Annelise can complete every day. Karina's job is to feed the dog. I need something sort of equivalent for Annelise and I'm having a hard time thinking of something. Anyone have a great idea?

My kids help me empty the dishwasher, or take things to the trash.

What about brushing the dog? I love that they have chores!
A couple things the kids help me do that could be chores:
Help me find all their shoes and put them in the correct bins.
Help me clean up after meals by handing me forks and sippy cups.
They pull out the bath stuff when we're heading in to take a bath.

making sure their dinner dishes (since they eat off plastic) go to the sink, how about if you put water in a cup or small pitcher and let her fill the dog's water dish? Otherwise I agree with the dishwasher - Abby's been putting away non sharp silverware since she was about that age...also putting her own clothes in her room...

What about watering the dog? My girls feed our cat, one waters and the other gives food.

Picking up clothes on the floor and putting them in the hamper? (Unless they already do that for their own clothes.) That was the only thing my kids did at that age -- I'm impressed with all of you!

I love the ideas! truly we haven't instituted many things at all... and it shows. my ds will truly thrive on any and all of these ideas! I used to let our kids help us with the dishwasher a few months ago, and then it turned into something that was obnoxious so I quit. But I need to start again. most of the stuff in there is all plastic stuff for them! cups, their plates and the wooden spoons we use on the stove... its pretty cute that they can put the spoons away in the drawer that is actually child locked... but it opens enough for them to help. I'll have to start that again.

Mine do the silverware in the dishwasher, they often set the table (since just past 2), bring me garbages to empty into a bag and put it back, clear off table with my help, feed dog, clean up toys.

They don't do all of these everyday but often. I want to start a chore chart with 1-2 jobs a day and things like get dressed, brush hair, brush teeth, etc. Any ideas of one online I could print out. Thinking that might be a fun way to get more organized. Hopeing to start in Sept when I am no longer morning sick (or all day sick).
