A bit of an update

Hi Everyone

Thanks for all of your support in my last post. The last 24 hours have bit quite a rollercoaster ride. The docs wanted another NST last night but they couldn't get nice tracings on the babies. So at 2:30am, I was sent down for another BPP and doppler study. The report said that Baby A's flow was absent (after being reversed during the day and the day before). This morning, the docs still wanted me to have another NST, BPP and doppler study because they weren't trusting the u/s results from 5 hours ago. Of course the babies past their tests and the doppler showed baby A's cord to be diminished with some absent. Unbelievable huh? So we dodged the delievery bullet again.

There was only a shadow of a doubt about delivering if we had to. We went for a tour of the NICU last night and talked to the neonatologist. The 29 weekers didn't look as scary as I thought they would and the doc aleviated a lot of our fears.

I'm exhausted from the experience but glad we got another day or 2 of being pregnant.

So glad to hear things are going ok. You poor thing enduring all this stress. It sounds like you are getting fantastic medical care so while I am sure the stress seems almost unbearable please take comfort in how great your team sounds!

Glad to hear that you didn't have to deliver today, and that your fears have been calmed. I really hope you can make it til 32wks (at least). Thoughts are with you!

I agree with Dianne. You seem to be getting good care. You hang in there and keep us posted!

 

I'm so glad to hear your news. I was thinking of you today. Unfortunately I spoke too soon and fluid started on baby B's heart and iI think elevated dopplers so we started bpp testing failed the first one finally passed the second one go back in a few days for another bpp and our regular doppler etc. At least I should make it to 27 weeks. I keep hoping we will go back stable next week. They wanted me to stop working so I'm done. It was all a big surprise because I am so used to being stable that when they started talking more seriously about delivering it kind of started to hit me. You are proof though that things can turn around just as quick. I hope you hold out a while more. Good luck
