Yeah, thanks! <_< Ainsley woke up at 4:40 screaming. When I went in, she said she had to go potty. At first I said no, go back to sleep. Then Bea wakes up, then they both want to go potty. Well they were just sitting there having a party. It had been at least 10 min, if they had to pee, they would have. So back to bed everyone. Well now I've got two kids screaming "GO POTTY!" at 5:00 in the fricking morning! THIS IS WHAT I DID NOT WANT!!@#$@#!$#@$@#% Everyone told me not to worry about the night time.

Oh to top it off, DH is now mad at me because I should have said no. F YOU! What the heck am I supposed to do?

    OMG, what a nightmare!!

I agree, if my kids were saying they needed to go potty at 4am, I would take them too. What else are you supposed to do?

Maybe she was feeling like she had to poop? Doesn't that take a while to get out when they are first starting??

Audrey has started doing that at bedtime (after she is in bed) to delay bedtime. :( Sorry you had a rough morning! :hug99:

    oy! :(

cameron uses "i have to go potty" on occassion as a bedtime delay tactic - my guess is ainsley woke up for some reason, wanted you, and used going potty as an excuse. BUT i think if they ask you kind of have to take them. the only thing i can suggest is doing some bargaining - like, ok, i will take you to the potty now, but that means you need to be a big girl all day today and wear your underwear and go pee pee in the potty all day long - that may not be good parenting, but it's the tactic that seems to work best for me these days :)

I'm fairly certain that Ainsley didn't wake because she had to potty, like you said. It was something she came up with once she was awake. I could tell when I took both of their diapers off that they had already just peed. I'm about ready to throw the potties in the closet and not do anything until later.

We went through spurts of this, Ben is still going through it. He wakes up from going to the bathroom at 5am or so, and then comes in to say he has to pee (but has already gone in his Pull Up). I just think this is part of potty training, not a sign to pack it all up!

Ok, I'm laughing with you, not at you!! LOL I had the same thing just a few nights ago, and it was NOT pretty. When Noah woke me up saying he had to go "pee-pee", I was like, "cool, he's catching on quick." HA! After sitting there sleepy and grouchy for a few minutes, Noah wakes Aiden up, and he wants to use the potty too! But wait, the other potty is still in the car from the day at Grandma's house. Neither want to use the toilet, and both are crying.

Eventually tired grouchy mama (me) said "Back to bed! Be quiet! Pee in your pull-up if you need too." Gr. Argh.

From now on they have to use the toilet seat during the night because I don't feel like washing out the little potties in the middle of the night.
