So - we are out of town for the weekend. My DH ran to the grocery store to get food for the weekend and I started on baths for the girls alone. I have the girls in the tub, things are going well, when all the sudden Maya starts pointing at her bottom and getting an ancy look on her face. Mind you, we haven't started potty training yet. So, I grab her out of the tub and go to put her on the toilet figuring that was what was going on -- but, I was TOO SLOW!!!! In the tub, on the floor, on the towels on the floor. Then, she steps on the towels. I pull Naomi out since she is now in the tub with floaters. While I am cleaning up what I can, Maya is tracking poo all over the bathroom. Then, Naomi finds the toilet paper and starts pulling it out. Then, Maya pees on the floor!!!!! And of course, these aren't my towels, I don't have any cleaner, and I'm by myself.

I guess maybe it is time to start potty training!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Poop in the tub is bad enough, but OUT OF TOWN poop in the tub? Yuck! We had some just last night (at home, thank goodness) that of course happened right *after* my husband got paged, but at least I saw it coming quickly enough to grab the toys out of the water, and the pooper's sister was already out of the tub. Could have been worse! :p

Why do they do that when they are away from home? We were gone for two weeks over Christmas and DS1 peed in the floor twice and pooped in the tub once. They almost never do that at home although DS2 did pee on the towel the other day. I haven't had them poop in the tub at home since they were like 3 months old and he was sick then.

I'm sorry! And of course they won't listen to you to sit down or you will slip and fall, etc.

But it did make me laugh, I'm a bad person ;-)

OMG, that's so funny, and NOT! all at the same time. I'm sorry , so so sorry you were by yourself. You've gotta record this story somewhere permanently so you can tell it again later, and go back and read it someday ....

Oh, I'm so sorry... and then I'm not because that is SO funny! Just wait 'till they're older and it'll be just one of many stories you can tell them about their baby days. Thanks for the laugh! (I'll probably get this back x3 for laughing)

oh yea - I had one of those nights once - Abby spread syrup all over herself, so I threw them in the tub...Ian shat in the tub - Abby tried to play with it and I pulled the two of them out of the tub and as I was scooping out the floaters with a disposable dixie cup Ian pissed on his sister....

yea DH got home from work and I ran out the door screaming into the night (well not really but I DID run to the store!)

See - I knew you all would understand!!!

For the record - the rest of the trip went great (minus naps, but they slept at night, so I can't complain!) and we all survived the negative 17 degree weather without frostbite! :)
