So, took the twinkies in for the 9mo well visit today. They're each 16lb4oz and 27.5 & 28" (how's that for identical twins?). 10th%ile for weight and 50th%ile for length. Sasha is suffering from wicked separation anxiety and screamed when anyone she didn't reconize looked at her, much less touched her. Tori remained her typical laid-back self - not scared, but not overly interactive, either. HOWEVER, the ped noticed Tori's eye problem right off the bat - we thought she had a droopy right eyelid - turns out she's got a mild case of plagiocephaly. The entire right side of her head is pushed back slightly, making it lopsided when viewed from above. She said we're good as long as it doesn't get worse and we don't start noticing developmental problems (which makes me worry, because Tori has always been a bit behind her sister!)...it's too mild for a neurosurgeon to want to do anything. Then, they each got two vaccines and their blood drawn for lead tests - they were VERY unhappy babies by the time all was said and done!

Aww, good weights!! Shots are no fun!!

It is so good that you all found out what the problem with her is. There are quite a few moms on here who have children with plagio.

Sounds like a good appt. So they aren't going to to anything about Tori's plagiocephaly? Does she have trouble moving her head at all or neck? Does she have a flat spot?

Sounds great other than the plagio! Hopefully that corrects itself in time!

We're just supposed to wait and see with her plagio. She doesn't have a well-defined flat spot - it's more apparent as a slight "bump" on the right rear of her head. You can only really see it from the top - she's a little lopsided

Oh poor baby. :( If you are at all concerned, I would ask to see a specialist anyway. Never hurts to see them, esp. if it is covered by your ins. Let us know how it goes.
