9 weeks pregnant + 21-month-old twin boys.

Hi everyone. I am a regular visitor to the 1-4 forum and was happy to find this "Pregnant After Twins" sub-forum. I'm 9 weeks along with a singleton and have 21-month-old twin boys. My partner and I are thrilled (and surprised) to be expecting another baby. Our boys will be 2 years, 5 months when our new baby comes in August. I look forward to trading secrets with all of you about keeping up with twin toddlers while growing a baby!

Congrats! That's about the same age difference between my boys and Becca and it's been a great age difference.

 

Congrats! I try and visit this subforum every couple of days! How are you feeling? I think I am just starting to get over the most awful all-day sickness I have ever had with any of my kiddos. I had an u/s at 8weeks, but I'm still waiting to hear the heartbeat by doppler. Have you had an u/s yet? I'm sorry if we've already talked in another thread. Sometimes it takes me a while to remember everyone.

I've been feeling awful, to be honest. Just constantly nauseated and exhausted. My husband is going back to work on Monday after a 2-week break and I don't know how I'm going to manage without the help! I've been taking B6 to help with the sickness and it is definitely helping. But I'm not 100%. When I had Evan and James I was sick until 19 weeks or so - I'm hoping it won't be that long this time.

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks b/c I couldn't believe I was pregnant, even after 2 home tests and a blood test. But sure enough there was a little spot there with a tiny beating heart. So I guess it's true! I met with a midwife last week but unfortunately we didn't hit it off, so I'm going to meet an OB next month. If she doesn't seem like a good fit, I'll go back to the OB who cared for me when I had the boys, even though the location isn't convenient.

Congrats! My twins are 21 months too and I am 38 weeks pregnant (c-section is scheduled for Jan 7th). I won't lie to you, it's been tough being pregnant this time with twin toddlers but I am so excited to actually be having another baby! She was a pleasant surprise.
