The girls had the 9 month visit yesterday. They are doing great and are very healthy little girls.
Jordan weighed in at 23 lbs and a half oz and measured 29 inches.
Mackenzie weighed 22 lbs and 8 oz and measured 28 inches.
I can't believe how big they are getting.
I asked the Dr. about the amounts they are eating and she said that they were eating enough, not too much (like everyone else seems to think!).
What are all the other babies eating at 9 months?

Sounds like they are doing really well!! Way to grow babies!

My guys were still on jarred foods and formula, and juice. They ate 3 jarred foods a day plus cereal or oatmeal twice a day as a 'snack'.

My boys are only 4 months and they're 16 lbs 10 oz. and 18 lbs 1 oz so I'm sure by 9 months they'll be the same weight as me!

    Congrats!!! Big babies.

My oldest was also 22-something at 9 months (95%). The babies are still 1 pound behind her ... we'll see what happens!!!

Congrats on the well check! Healthy Babies...way to go mom! My girls are pretty much eating table food now and 4 8oz bottles of formula(approx). I still feed them baby cereal mixed with fruits (baby food) for breakfast, but everything else is lots chunkier. I've been giving them canned fruit (in juice) and veggies. I usually cut it up in small pieces. If I get fresh I'll steam it if it's hard, or cut it up if it is soft stuff. My girls eat cheese really well, too. Of course bread and cheerios and puffs, too! I haven't tried snack crackers yet, but probably will soon. Since I have the older two, it's just so much easier to give them what I give the other two. We've just in the past 18 mos started eating healthier food, and I don't have any problems giving it to the girls. Meat is a challenge, but I'm slowly introducing it. The girls like egg yolks too! HTH!

Sounds like we have exactly the same feeding routine. Cereal with baby food fruit for breakfast plus a few cheerios while I eat my breakfast. Everything else is finger food. They love anything they can feed themself. Fruit, veggies, chicken, bread, cheese, puffs, pasta, crackers, etc. They were getting 4 8 oz bottles until about 2 days ago when I cut them down to 3.

Congratulations on the great weights! I'm not sure how much mine weigh at this point - we don't see the doctor at 9 months unfortunately.

    Good job!

At nine months my girls were taking 3-8 oz bottles as well as three solid meals a day, all Gerber pureed. I decided to introduce lots of finger foods and it resulted in Emma going on a solid food strike for about a week - I guess there was something she didn't like. I have started introducing finger foods but my little chicks seem to be VERY picky!

Great checkup! I'm glad everyone is healthy and happy! We are eating 2nd foods and some 3rd, as well as cheerios soaked in formula, cheese, yogurt mixed with crushed banana, and crushed & diced peaches mixed with baby jar peaches. The girls don't like textures too much so I'm introducing new things slowly.

Did you get your girls' head circumferences? I'm starting to get concerned about how big DDs heads are, and since ours are so close in age it might help to hear what your pedi said. Right now we are: 19#, 28", 20" head & 19#, 28 1/2", 19 1/2 head. These head measurements are off the charts!

We are at 18 1/2" (Lila) and 19" (Luke) for the head circumference so I don't think yours are too far off of that. I've always thought Luke had kind of a big head, though. ;) I'm not sure how much mine weigh now but I'm thinking around 22 pounds.
