9 month olds

My DD still isn't even trying to crawl but DS has been crawling for almost 3 months. She won't even roll onto her belly. She hates it! Could she still be normal? They were born at 36 weeks. Also, neither one of them do finger food at all. They spit it out and wont try to pick it up or anything. I figured they would be doing this by now...am I too inpatient? Could they just be late bloomers?

 

Mine didnt crawl until the end of 9 months and then they started to pull up and walk soon thereafter. Did you discuss your concerns with your Ped at your 9 month WBV?

 

My DS didn't start crawling until 9.5 months. I would also bring it up to your pedi either by phone or a well baby visit.

 

My DS did not start crawling until last week and he's 10 months old. My DD started at 8 months. If you have concerns definitely bring them to your pediatrician. Good luck!

 

I've heard that some kids skip crawling altogether...I wouldn't worry yet!

 

My first DS did not start to crawl until midway through 9 months and he really didn't do it much until after 10 months. He was much more interested in sitting or trying to stand. He had always hated tummy time, too! Just thought I'd share, so you wouldn't worry too much.

As for the finger foods, what are you trying? The only type my twins have had are puffs (and a little toast) and they are happy w/ them. It took a couple of weeks for them to really get the hang of it, though. I haven't tried any other things for finger food, so mine may be a little behind w/ that, too.

Definitely touch base with your ped whenever you are concerned!!
