9/11 Babies!

Hi all! My Kaitlynn and Jessica arrived on 9/11 they were just over 34 weeks gestation :wub: ... Thursday evening I noticed that some "pee" was trickling out of me... I really thought that I needed adult diapers! On Friday I called my nurse and told her about it because I also started bleeding. Turns out that it was actually my water breaking!! I went in on Friday night and was fully dilated by 10:30 Saturday morning... The girls decided to hold on until the evening... Kaitlynn Lee was born at 6:06 and Jessica Jean followed at 6:11! Katie weighed in at 6lbs 2oz and Jess was 4lbs 14oz... Both were head down and I was able to deliver vaginally!! They are in the NICU, but doing great! Jess needed some oxygen for the first few seconds of life, but neither is on it at this point... They are feeding great and are healthy other than being 6 weeks early!!! They do have a slight case of jaundice but the docs think that will be cleared up in a few days... We also found out for sure that they ARE identical!!! I am doing well, but it was really hard to be discharged tonight and leave without the girls... Thank you guys for all of your support and advice through all of this! I really appreciated having a support system that understands what it is like to go through this! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks everyone! I haven't been on much because I've been in with the girls! They were actually able to come home tonight! YAY!!! I was getting super frustrated because they were feeding great for me, but then when I left the night nurses came on and would only try for 10 min... I know that they have other babies to tend to, but it felt like they weren't even trying. We talked to the Drs about it and they let us keep them in a room for overnight, they did great!! They ate all that they were supposed to and we were able to take them home today!!! Thanks for all the prayers!
