    Holy cow.

Here's our stats: The boys are 8.5 months old (tho they were 1 month early). They are just about 19 pounds each.

    Schedule
    6:30am 6 oz formula
7:15am share 3.5oz solids and maybe 2-3 tbsp cereal
    10:15am 7-8oz formula, share 3.5 oz solids
    1:30pm 8oz formula
    4:30pm 8oz formula
6:45pm 6oz formula (if they're still awake and want to eat)

The past 2 nights, Ben has taken to waking up sometime after midnight, and we cannot soothe him back to sleep. He wakes up every 20 minutes from that point on, crying. We've figured out that once we give him a 6oz bottle, he then goes to sleep for the rest of the day. Sounds like a growth spurt, no?

So I'm thinking of changing this up a little bit, since it works for us on the weekends:
    6:30am 6 oz formula
7:15am share 3.5oz solids and maybe 2-3 tbsp cereal
    10:15am 7-8oz formula, share 3.5 oz solids
    1:30pm 8oz formula
5pm share 7 oz of solids
    6:45pm 8oz formula

    Sanity check? How's this sound?

    Thanks all!!

It does sound like a growth spurt. I think the new schedule sounds good & is definitely worth a try. Let us know how it goes!

Mine had a big 8 month growth spurt and no 6 month growth spurt. It was crazy they quit nursing and started taking huge quantities of formula--like 8-10 ounce bottles, and they still breastfed in the middle of the night.

I think we just hit a growth spurt here as well.. we just gained 4lbs in a month in a 1/2...

That looks like our 8-month schedule as well. I think at that time the babies were taking 4-6 ounces of baby food each, plus finger foods like a mum-mum or puffs at each sitting (8-12 oz. baby food each day/each baby). Good luck!

Thanks for the responses, all :)

It seems in the morning the boys aren't particularly interested in solids after their morning bottle. I'll keep trying, but they seem tired/distracted a lot.

As for snacks, they're not interested in finger food yet. I keep trying with the puffs, but no matter how many times I show them how to eat them, they don't bother. They play with them and drop them on the floor/chair/whatever. What's a mum-mum? And is it worth finding a cookie of some sort for them to try? They put everything into their mouths, except for food... go figure ;-)

I'm trying to introduce sippy cups too, but they aren't fans of those either. They for the most part aren't interested. Any other suggestions? They actually enjoy when liquid is poured into their mouths a bit, but aren't interested in doing it on their own.
