My girls are 8 months old today.

I am wondering where they are in terms of others babies their age.

    Questions:

    1. Mine aren't crawling yet, are yours?

    2. I still feed them solids 2 x's a day, breakfast and dinner. Do you feed 2 or 3 x's per day?

    3. Bottles. We still give them bottles every 3 hours. 5 oz. usuallly.
Is that more often than any of you?

    TIA for your repsonses...

Mine are crawling and able to pull themselves up and stand for about a month now. I only feed them cereal/fruit for breakfast and veggie for dinner and 7oz bottle every 4 hrs (4x/day). I started giving them cheerios Xmas day and now, they have gotten the hang of it.

I think Mandy is a little ahead with development and Timmy just tries to copy her. It's a good thing he's able to catch up pretty quick with his sister.

I know mine aren't 8 mos. anymore, but I have a few answers for you...

Mine weren't crawling yet either.... 9 mos. (close to 10) was the magic month for that....

I did 2 solid meals a day till 9 mos. when pedi told me to do 3.....

I was around 4 hr. bottles at that time.... hope that helps a little!

1)Mine don't crawl yet. They are still trying to master sitting.

    2) We do solids at lunch and dinner.

3)6-7 oz bottles 4x per day.

I delivered at 36 wks 0 days with no time in the NICU.

Mine are 9 months now, but at 8 months (and still today) they aren't crawling. Lily does get some forward motion going with the army crawl, and does get up on all fours and rock, but I wouldn't classify it as officially crawling yet. Grace gets up on all fours and can scoot slightly forward with an army crawl. Lily rolls wherever she wants to go and Grace pretty much rolls to her tummy and stays there.

We did solids 1 to 2 times a day at that point, 2 times a day now, and will be 3 times a day starting next week.

Mine take a bottle every 3-4 hours...it totally depends on how much they took with the last bottle. If it was 6-7 ounces they can go 4 hours, if less, they normally only go 3. They sleep from about 7pm to 7am without a feeding though.

we have one good crawler - who also pulls herself up to kneeling - and one 'slug' (DH's term) who's no where near crawling yet. both sit well.

we do solids lunch and dinner most days (sometimes dinner would be too late so we skip it). they get veggies at lunch and i'll introduce meat next week probably and fruit at dinner (sometimes with cereal).

i'm still breastfeeding and it's still every 3 hours (day and night [IMG])

[one thing i love about having twins is how having two calms my anxiety about what they are/are not able to do yet ... they're each raised in more or less the same manner and yet they're so totally different in their achievements - one has great finger control, 'talks' all the time and is socially very aware whilst her sister is very physical etc]

My girls are not even close to crawling, scotting or any of that (they are behind even for adjusted age) they are in therapy.

I feed them 2 solid meals a day but, they never eat it. (they are in therapy for this also)

They are bf so they eat every 3-4 hours, even during the night.

My girls were born @ 33weeks6days.

Since they're almost 8 months old (next week), I'll respond. Chloe and Bryce are just now mastering sitting, and are not crawling yet at all. They do push up off their bellies with their arms and hold that pose really well for awhile, and can scoot forward if I brace their legs, but definitely not near crawling yet. They lay on their stomachs and act like their swimming sometimes, so you can tell they want to start moving.

Chloe can stand well on her own if she's holding on to our ottoman or couch, but she's still a bit wobbly. She likes to bounce up and down in a standing position while we're balancing her. Bryce is not there yet, but doing better with supporting his weight when standing.

We do solids twice a day. Breakfast is about an hour and a half after their morning bottle (oatmeal and fruit). I've just started adding a tiny bit of juice in a sippy as well. Bryce is also munching on puffs, but Chloe wants nothing to do with them yet. They get dinner around 4p.m., and that usually is rice cereal and a veggie.

They get 5 bottles a day, every 3 hours on average. Bryce takes 7 oz at a time, and Chloe between 4 and 6 oz. Bryce has been wanting to eat around 4 a.m. lately as well - so that's 6 bottles a day for him sometimes.

Mine are 7 months and are not crawling yet. In fact my daughter doesn't even like to roll over, although she can do it.

They eat cereal and fruit in the am, and veggie and fruit at lunch and dinner per our ped instructions.

They were born at 34 weeks with 3 weeks in the NICU.

I don't know about you guys, but I hear a lot of people asking me if they crawl yet, and then tell me "well, mine crawled at this age.."
but they were not preemies/twins...so frustrating....

    Happy 8 months!! [IMG]

Mine are older but when they were that age...
They did not start crawling until around the 10 month mark. I only feed them 2 solids a day-- breakfast and dinner and they were taking 6oz. bottles every 4 hours.

They sound right on track to me.

    Good job!

    1. Johnny is crawling; he started that about 7 1/2 months. He's pulling himself to a standing position, too. But - he's always been a little ahead of his age & is just very, very strong. Zoe, on the other hand, is not crawling. She's just now learned to roll over from her back, but doesn't like being on her tummy so she doesn't do it much. She's also not sitting on her own yet. (She's doing a little PT for muscle control & torticollis.)

    2. We have been only doing solids 1 time a day, at lunchtime. This morning, though, I added a little bit of oatmeal mixed with fruits at breakfast.

    3. They might be eating less frequently if they could take more at a time. Right now mine usually eat around 7am, 9am, 1pm, 5pm & 7:30pm. (although they don't each much of that last feeding) And they'll take between 6-8 oz.
