So my DH and I have an ongoing battle to get the boys to say "mama" or "dada" first - yes I know they almost always say "dada"... Neither of them has said any real words beyond babbling. Wouldn't you know that we both lost! Today, Logan was playing with our dog and we said "doggy" several times. He then grabbed the dog and said "DOGGA"! It was the cutest thing ever. I just love all these "firsts"!

Oh that's too cute! Well now we know who really matters!! Little boys love their dogs
My sister's first words were 'cookie' and 'Robbie' (the cat's name) My parents were a little annoyed that snacks and the cat came first [IMG]

    hahaha,
we're SURE our babies first words will be either
    "No Gally!" or "Bad Dog!"

My son's first word is probably going to be "hi buddy!" because that's what we keep saying to him. I try so hard to use his name (Zack) but "buddy" alway comes out instead.
    Great on "dogga!"

That's awesome! So glad you were there to hear it instead of learning about it from someone else. I'm sure Mama and Dada will soon follow.

HaHa! Too funny that he said dogga [IMG]

What a smart boy to know that he was being watched and coerced into saying either mama or dada. He knew to stay out of that one and fooled you both!
