According to LMP I am 6w6d.

    Baby A measured 7w with a heartbeat of 130.
Baby B measured 6w3d and no heartbeat.

    Any chance for Baby B?

Have they scheduled another u/s for you?

I'm sorry. I know you must be so worried. Honestly, it doesn't sound good to me, but it is still early. That's why I asked if you were having another u/s soon to try and find it again.

    Hang in there.

Two things I can add: if they heard the the heartbeats through the doppler, I know that lots of times they only hear 1.. another thing is that some doctors don't think noting twins before week 12 ish is a good thing as sometimes the second twin is lost in weeks 8-10, many people never even know that their singleton was a twin, as most prenatal appointments start at 12 weeks or later..

    Keep your chin up!!

We had trouble finding A's heartbeat with a doppler for a while. My OB uses an u/s so she can see it and then tried to locate it. I wouldn't worry too too much right now. Just take it easy, it's still very early.

    I am scheduled for another u/s next Fri...the 13th <_< .

They did a transvaginal u/s so we didn't hear the heartbeat.

I am especially freaking b/c almost exactly four yrs. ago I was pg. with twins thru ivf. Both had heartbeats but was told Baby B's was really low & not going to make it. Went back for a recheck at 9 wks and both heartbeats were gone. :(

I feel for you...my dh's cousin just went through this in march... had two little babies...one solid hb, none on the other..went back three days later and they were both gone.... This is the blessing and curse of modern day technology...we know enough that it really, really hurts when it doesn't work out. I pray for your sake that at a minimal your one little hb would stay strong..and who knows, hopefully that second one might kick in by friday. don't give up hope... try to focus on something completely not related for the next week....distract yourself so you don't sit around worrying.

:hug99: Sweetie I'm so sorry you are going through this. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through a difficult wait until the next ultrasound. I have heard of people having trouble finding a heartbeat on a baby in the 5th week, but I'm not sure about the 6th week. It really is just a matter of days. So who knows really. I hope the wait is easy for you and it doesn't take too long.

I am so very sorry you have to tolerate this wait - you shouldn't have to wait more than into the end of week 7 to see a HB, so I hope you can get in there ASAP to see what is happening. I was given a 70/30 chance with my Baby B even getting to HB stage due to irregular size and shape differences, but right at 7w there were 2 healthy HB! PLEASE let us know how things go, and know we are all pulling for you.

Just wanted to say that Friday the 13th is my Mom's b-day and she was also born on Friday the 13th, so it's a good day for us. :)

Also, wanted to say that you could still hear the second h/b at the next u/s, could just be too early for it yet.

I'm sorry that you are going through this, having been through a missed miscarriage myself I know how hard it is.

I do have a glimmer of hope, this pregnancy at 6weeks 4 days there was one baby with a heartbeat and an empty gestational sac. The RE said there was very little chance for the empty sac to survive. 2 weeks later at 8 weeks 4 days there were 2 babies with heartbeats although Baby B was still measuring a week behind. By 10 weeks both babies were the same size.

I know my story is not the norm, but it does happen. Praying for both of your babies, that Baby A continues to grow strong and Baby B makes a comeback.

At 6-7 weeks my OB doesn't even try to hear the heartbeat with a doppler. That's really early to hear a HB. What she looks for is a flicker on the baby(ies) on the u/s. The flicker is the HB. I hope that everything works out for you and your babies.
