    Hi Moms,

My girls are 7 months & they are 15lbs & 14 lbs. Doc says they are healthy & happy babies nothing to worry about but of course I am! How much does yours weight? My sched roughly is:

    7am wake/play
7:30 cereal (rice or oatmea) mixed with fruit & little milk (do you mix fruit & cereal?)
    8:00 bath & play
    9:15 bottle 4 oz
    9-30, 10ish nap
    11:00 11:30 wake/play
    12:30 5 oz bottle
    1:00 play
    1:45 about 1 oz bottle
    2:00 2:30 nap
    3:30 wake
    4:00 4 oz bottle
    5:15/5:30 dinner veg, fruit/cereal & water
    6:00 short nap if cranky
    6:30 - 7:30 play/jammies/diper
    7:45 4 oz bottle
    8:00 bed
    12:00 12:30 pm wake 5 oz bottle
    sometimes wakeup inbetween, give paci

Is this ok? I'd like to add lunch, when shall I do this?? What do you give? Girls mainly like sweet potato! Do you add fruit to veg to make it interesting?? They eat one jar of sweet potato each, other veg they share a jar. Sometimes I give dessert too. don't think they drink enough milk.

Also, they still wake up at night, I feed them the 12: or 12:30 feed then goto bed. I feel sooo bad giving them a paci at about 4/5am when they wake up..they are starving but I cannot get up....am I sooo bad??!

I'd like to know what yours babies at this age eat & do.

Thanks in advance for yr replies.

Well mine gos something like this

7/7:30 am wake and 6oz bottle
    8/9:00 am play
9:00 am fruit mixed with oatmeal and water
    9:30 play or baby mozart
    10:00 nap
    10:45/11:00 wake 6oz bottle
    11/1:00pm Play execsaucer ect
1:00pm lunch usually just a stage two veggie shared
    1:30/2:00pm practice sitting/play
2:00pm 6oz bottle down for nap
    3:00/3:30pm wake up
    3:30/4:30 more execauser/floor play time
4:30/5:00pm mommy sings us songs/reads us books
    5:00/5:30 6oz bottle take a cat nap
    6:00/6:15pm Wake
6:30pm Dinner veggie and fruit for desert
7:00 Bath jammies bed time story
    7:45 snuggle/sing bed time song
    8:00 Off to sleep

They don't wake much for night time feeding any more. Every once in a while they will. They wake up early to eat around five or so in the am. I have bottles pre made just ready to be warmed up. I feed them and they go right back to sleep until seven or seven thirty. I would probably feed them when they wake up early just because it is a long stretch from midnight to five for little tummys. You could try giving more than five ounces at midnight and see if that will help them sleep longer before they wake up hungry worth a shot right. We just bumped up to six ounces and I think that is why my guys are sleeping longer stretches. Anyway hope this helps.

Okay, these are just a couple suggestions based on what worked best for me.

My boys were always really hungry after waking in the morning so we did bottle (6oz) BEFORE cereal. I DID mix cereal with fruit and a little formula. So in the morning maybe you could do
    -wake
    -bottle (6oz)
    -play
    -cereal
    -bath
    -nap
    After Nap maybe try:
    -bottle (6oz)
    -play
-lunch (veggie and/or fruit) My boys loved any veggie as long as it was mixed with bananas
    -nap
    Then after 2nd nap Repeat:
    -bottle (6oz)
    -play
    -dinner (veggie and/or fruit)
    -play / jammies
    -bottle (6oz)
    -BED!

Like I said this is just what worked best for us! My ped said to go to 3 meals a day at our 6mo appt. so we just kinda stuck it in there. Once you find a schedule that works for you, everything will fall into place and will run smoother. Maybe if they have more bottles and food during the day, they will wake less for you at night. If mine would still wake at night, I knew that they just needed a paci because I had offered them plenty of food during the day. It was hard to get out during the day around this age! It always felt like they were eating, but it seemed to be what worked best to keep them sleeping through the night. At that's what really mattered to me. :D This is a hard age/stage, IMO. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Good luck to you!

    Hi,

Thank you so much for yr suggestions. I have started on lunch today & will start to give them more milk...see if they take it. I know it is what suits indivduals. I prefer to bath them in the morning so I can have more time with DH in the evening. I have some more questions...sorry never ending!

Which nipples do you use? girls like Nuk's Ortho ones but they can't get used to 6 to 12 month med flow ones..they choke! they are still on 0 to 6 - slow flow...but I have to make a few more holes! it takes for ever to feed. any suggestions.

Also, do u pre make yr bottles...it seems I'm forever making bottles! How do you manage when you go out? now with lunch....how do you feed them when you go out? I do out but my trips are short so we are back in time for meal time etc.

Thanks in advance...this site is brill.

I actually just added breakfast, here is our schedule, lenght of naps definately varies.
    6:30 awake & 7 oz bottle
8:00 breakfast, fruit and cereal mixed
9:00 nap usually for about 1 hour
    10:30 6 oz bottle
12:00 lunch - 1 jar of veggies shared, but I will have to increase that very soon
    1:00 6 oz bottle
    1:15 nap - 1 - 2 hours
    4:00 6 oz bottle
Sometimes between 4 - 5 a short nap depending how long they slept at 1:15
5 - 5:30 supper- oatmeal or rice cereal
6:30 6 oz bottle and off to bed
They do not get fed during the night anymore.
They both weight about 18 pounds.
