6mth old baby boy swimsuits

Hi!
I totally forgot I'd need to find a swimsuit for the boys. I was so excited about "equipment" floaties etc...

What are some ones you recommend?

Wetsuit style?
just trunks?
With dysposable diapers?
reusable diapers?
suits WITH diaper?

A friend of mine had one of those suits that had the 'floatie' attatched to the bathing suit and she said it actually would put him under water....rather than help him float....

They are very fair skinned so I'm leaning towards the 'wetsuit' kind...

I'd say either the "wet suit" kind for sun protection, of just a swim diaper and nothing else, I didn't buy my girls swimsuits until they were two, before that they just went in the water in just their swin diapers.

 

I bought my boys some reusable swim diapers because those are required by most public pools in the area and we are planning to take them to swim school soon (yes, they offer swim school for infants here but it's more to teach us parents how to teach our babies to swim). I also bought them each a long-sleeved swim shirt with spf protection and some matching swimming trunks. Also, per the recommendation of another TS member, I bought them each a floatie ring, the kind that has an inflatable ring with mesh for the baby to sit in while floating. We have a pool and they will be in it a lot, I hope.

 

THanks guys...Lizzy can you tell me about the floatie ring...i've been looking into them, where did you get it, and what's it called?

We did the one piece with zipper rash guard material ones with a disposable swim diaper. They are very easy to get on and off and offer great sun protection.

 

Last year, we just did swim trunks and a hat (w/ disposable diaper). This year, I bought them the 3/4 length sleeve shirts and trunks. The boys were given a pair of trunks and I forgot and bought some so we have 2 sets, which I think will be great.

What is zipper rash guard, and can you tell me where you got it? this sounds exactly what i'm looking for!
