I put up my 8 month check up yesterday but thought i would post again with this question. Does anyone else have this big of a weight difference between their babies? Sophie got weighed at 14 lb 7oz and Jack 20lb 4.5oz. Every time i get them weighed the difference between them seems to go up by nearly a pound! So does any one else have this too? x

We have a 3lb difference here. DS is about 20 lb and DD is about 17 lbs.

Not quite that much of a difference, but DS is about 2.5 lbs. bigger than DD.

Wow, we're the opposite. DD outweighs DS by 3 lbs.

I used to part time nanny for a set of boy/girl twins and they were totally opposite. He was a big, tall boy and she was a tiny, petite girl. At 1 year he weighed 28 lbs and she weighed 19 lbs. The last time I saw them was at 3 years old and he was so much bigger and older looking than her. She was about 6 inches shorter than him and about 10-15 lbs less than him. He took after Dad and she took after Mom.

We started out with a one pound difference at birth with DS being the bigger twin and now at 6 mos. DD weighs 16.5 lbs. and DS weighs 19.5 lbs. They have had the 3 lb. weight difference for a few months now.

A friend from highschool has twin girls who will be three in February. I haven't seen them( they live thousands of miles away), but I get updates from their grandparents. I ran into them the other day at the mall and we were talking about how identical my girls are. Their twins are fraternal and complete opposites in every way. They have a 10 pound weight difference between them now! Amazing isn't it????

Yep!!! At 9 mos, we were 7 pounds apart I believe (stats are in a napping baby's room at the moment). Now they are ten pounds apart, and have been for awhile.

Yes, 1 pound 4 ounces different at birth and it has continued to increase to almost 30 pounds at 5 years old.
