6 months olds go fishing

Did/do anyone take 6 months old babies out fishing on 12 foot long fishing boat? We have a 12 foot long fishing boat with quite electric motor. We love going fishing. We used to take the boat out to the small lake after work everyday before I was pregnant the twins. I miss doing that. I have heard many ppl take their infants out. But I am not sure about twins. Im afraid cops will give us tickets hehehe. What do you think?? thanks!
Of course we will have infant life jackets on them, if we take them out

 

I think as long as you use the proper safety measures then it should be fine! Have fun!

 

I wanted to take mine this summer but did not because we just have a bass boast and I did not feel like they would want to be "contained" for a long period of time. DH fishes tournaments and stuff so he still does but I havent fished in a long. This weekend I am taking them tomorrow just for a short ride on the boat and see how it goes

btw cops arent going to ticket you. Just make sure you ahve 2 infant life jackets on board. However here in the state of virginia they have to actually be wearing them but then again we boat bigger lakes where its a lot of traffic and our boat has a 150 outboard on it too so we are going to be extremely careful tomorrow

 

Awesome! We might take them out this weekend. Its a small lake in the park. We have odd days for sail boat and even days for motor boat. Since our boat is too small, we can go with sail boat days. I'm so excited hehe. Thanks

 

I have a nephew who is almost 16 months old. My brother and SIL live on a lake front property and have a boat. They have been taking him on the boat, with a very tiny life jacket, since he was just a few weeks old. He loves it - when he was tiny he would sleep better on the boat than he would in his crib! I say go for it and see how they do.
