Well, we had our appointment!! Jack is 17 pounds and Bella is 18 pounds! They are doing great...although still on antibiotics with some ear infections. But, other than that, the appointment went great...they got to skip their shots until the re-check for the ears! B)

OK, here is my question...what do you consider a "meal" of solids? For example, how many baby spoonfuls do you consider a meal? Also, how many ounces of formula are you giving or did you give at 7 months? How many meals?

    Thank you!!!!

At 7 months, I believe we were 8 oz 4 times a day (and still are ). Our meal was about a cup of oatmeal and then I added warm water (cauz we were on different formulas).

Great weights! Good appt, Jen!

Here was our schedule. I included how much they ate at each meal. My little chubbers always were beyond spoonfuls. It was more like how many jars!

    6:30 or 7:00am- Wake
    7:00 or 7:30- Bottle
    8:00- Oatmeal (3 tbs each) with 1 jar split fruit(Stage 2).
    7:30-9:00- Play
    9:00- Morning Nap (usually 1- 1 1/2 hours)
    10:30- Wake and Play
    11:00- Bottle
    11:15- Play
1:00- Nap (usually a shorter nap)
    2:00- Play
    3:00- Bottle
    3:15- Play
5:00- 3 TBS Oatmeal each with 1 jar each of stage 2 veg.
    6:00 Bath
    7:15- Bottle and Bed

They drank about 28 oz total

    Great appointment! Big babies!

We were still at 5 bottles, 3 solid meals. With solids, I think we were splitting stage 2 jars at that point. They were also starting to eat puffs!

At 7 months, mine girls are having:
Breakfast - 4 oz container of fruit mixed with cereal (enough just to thicken it) and a 6 oz bottle
Lunch - 4 oz container of veggie mixed w/cereal (same as above) & 6 oz bottle
Dinner - 4 oz container of meat & 6 oz bottle
Bedtime - 8 oz. bottle w/rice cereal to thicken (still refluxers - is that a word?!)

Any less and they fuss. Occasionally they have puffs, cheerios, or cookies (biter or zwieback), usually when we're eating so they don't throw a fit! They like to eat and haven't turned up their noses at anything! ;)

THANK YOU!!! Your posts were VERY helpful! I appreciate it. I am actually excited to think that will be no more bottles one day~~ I am also excited to feed them "real" food. (call me crazy, I know)

    Thanks again!!

Congratualtions on great weights!! It sounds like they are doing great. My babies are not quite 7 months, but now they take about 4-5 bottles of 7-8 oz of formula a day. We have also recently started baby cereal, but not enough to be considered a meal.
