55 day nicu stay was enough!

Well here I am.. On twins stuff on my iPhone while I'm in the hospital with one of my boys. Hubby is at home in our nice comfty warm bed, with the other boy and our dog. Instead I'm here on this crappy thing they give you to sleep on, it's 5:51am and i've yet to go to sleep, heck we got to the er at 9pm.

Anyways, Wyatt had a right testicle (I think it's an inagural or something can't remember for sure the name but I'm sure someone can correct me) shortly after he was born and had it repaired Sept 8; a week before they were discharged from the nicu. I took him to the doctor at 3pm yesterday cause I was pretty darn sure that's what he now had on his left side and yep! I was right. The surgeon was able to reduce it and told me we could go home and wait to have surgery on Friday cause she wanted swelling to go down first. She told me to just keep an eye on it and make sure it didn't pop back out. Sooooo 8pm rolls around and it's right back out. We had to wait 2 hours in th ER waiting room then another 2 in the back of the ER just to get admitted to a room in pediatrics. Now it just keeps popping out and they keep reducing it. Any little strain or cry and POP!

Sorry long crappy night and I hate to see my little guy in pain! Not to mention I feel so weird not having his brother here with us! In about an hour we will find out if they can make room to do his surgery today instead of tomorrow! I sure hope so!

 

:hug: Momma!! I am so sorry you are having to deal with that. I hope they are able to fit him in to the surgery schedule today, and you can finally see the last of this issue. I hope you are able to get some rest soon!! :hug:

Update: Him & I spent 2 nights in the hospital before they did the surgery Friday morning. Repaired his left side and found a hydroseal on his right side so they drained that. He should be coming home Saturday if he does ok in the NICU

 

Glad they got the surgery done. Hope he comes home soon!
