5-year-old birthday party

My girlfriends daughter is turing 5. Can anyone suggest some gift ideas? I have no clue what to get her and we have been invited to her party. Thanks!

 

At 5 my DD liked polly pockets, littlest pet shop, my little ponys, and anything princess.

 

Webkinz--they are the hottest gifts for 5 year olds! Fortunately, they aren't expensive. One friend gave each boy one with a matching book, and stickers.

 

I second the Webkinz. Also, something that they can make is always good (bead bracelet kit, painting kit). And, I don't like them but Bratz are really big right now especially with the movie coming out.

 

Mine love Polly pockets, or the Disney princess dolls that are the same size as polly pockets, my little pony, they love to color (markers, crayons, or paints), really any type of craft the love to do. Games maybe: Hungry Hungry Hippo, Sequence for kids, or any game for 5 and up.

 

Books are always a good gift

And I second the games idea. My boys have been really in to games this past year. Starting with matching games, Go Fish, and now Sorry. They have some good travel versions of these that aren't as expensive as the full-sized versions.

 

my daugther just turned 5 and these were her favorite...

a big girl plate and cup (little mermaid) different than the divided plates she thinks are baby plates.
those easy to read I can read books.
a snow white and cinderella, that was like a polly pocket, they came with dresses, shoes, purses and a horse and carriage.
and one of those dolls... not sure what they are called, but they are about barbie sized, but REAL girls, she got a horse one called Karina Grace... are they Only Hearts Club??? I know they have books that go with them, and they bodily proportionate...

oh yeah and a book of mazes... she LOVED that for some reason...
