Hi everyone I know that there is a section on here that everyone posted their schedules but I feel like a brand new parent. I have a 7 year old but have forgotten everything that I know since then. Can you moms of 5 month olds please tell me your schedules and how much you feed them @ a time. Also how many of you feed them fruit with cereal and veggies. I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank You,
    Courtney

I wish I could help you...I am strictly nursing and still on demand...no schedules here.

This was our schedule at 5 months.

    Went to bed- 7:00-7:15

    Woke up- 6:30

Three naps (maybe 4) 9:00, 1200, 4:00 (this is very much estimated. They usually are up for 2 hours in between naps)

They did not sleep through the night!

They woke to eat only. They were waking 2 times at night and eating 8 oz bottles until I could not take it any more because I was up all night. My sister came over and helped me analyzed their schedules. She said they should not be eating that much at night and that’s why they are not so hungry during the day. I also had them on a 3 hour eating schedule. At 5 months, they started a 4 hour schedule eating 6-8 oz. Then when they woke at night, they were satisfied with 4oz bottles.

I also started cereal in the morning and at night. The following week I added fruits/veg along with the cereal in the morn and night

My girls are 5 months, 4 days. This is pretty much how our days go:

    6:45 - 6 oz. bottle
    7:30 - 1/2 tbsp. (each) oatmeal cereal
    8:30 or 9 - nap
    10:30 - 6 oz. bottle
    12:00 - nap
    2:00 - 6 oz. bottle
3:00 - 1/2 tbsp. (each) rice cereal and 1/2 jar (each) of veggies
    4:00 - nap
    6:30 - 6 oz. bottle

Their pedi advised us to start veggies first, feed them one at a time for 3-5 days (to make sure there are no allergies) and then onto fruits. We will be starting fruits on Thursday, feeding them with the oatmeal in the a.m. This seems to be working pretty well. I started the girls with 1 tbsp. each of cereal and they were constantly spitting up. I called the pedi and they said it was too much for their tummies and to make sure we didn't decrease the formula at this point. Another mom had sent me a similar schedule and once I adjusted it to our times (her kids went to bed and woke later) it worked great! I hope this helps!
