My LO's are 5 month sold now and Im seeing a shift in their eating and sleeping. Im sure the time change through them off a bit too. My DS is sucking down 7 oz, Im thinking I have to bump him up to 8. My DD is right behind him. I do giev them oatmeal in the mornings. Im just wondering how many oz. per bottle others are doing and how often, also if you are feeding solids. If you could put your schedule that would be helpful too. I do follow the HSHHC somewhat. They take 3 naps and go to bed around 6-6:30. Thats with them eating every 3.5 hours, Im wondering if they need to go to 4 hours??

    Thanks.

Are your little ones STTN yet? You could try every 4 hours and see how they do. If it does not go well, you can always go back to 3.5 hours. Ours stayed on a 3 hour schedule for the whole FY, it's just in the past couple of months, we could go every four hours for eating. It sounds like they are doing great with their eating and napping! I believe at 5 months, mine were only taking 5-6 oz per bottle.

They have been STTN since 4 mo. They go down at 6-6:30 and eat one more time around 10 then sleep until morning.

Wow, I would say dont change a thing except offering them more ounces per bottle. I would be hesitant to go to a 4 hour schedule when what you have is awesome. :good:

Mine are a little younger than yours, but I just moved them to a four hour schedule. They eat 8 oz bottles at 7am 11am 3pm and 7pm. At 10pm we dream feed them another 4 oz and they sleep till morning. They are not on solids yet. in between feeding they usually follow the play eat sleep and get a total of maybe 3 /12 to 4 hours combined from 3 naps.

My babies are almost 5 months old and we're only feeding them rice cereal once a day (starting twice a day tomorrow). I always give them whatever they'll eat. I usually start with around 6 ounces and if they eat that, give them more. They usually don't go above 8 ounces, but have gone to 9 a few times. There's usually once or twice a day that they are really hungry and always seem to eat more. I would definitely offer more if they are eating 7 with no problems. Mine also eat every 4 hours. We started at 3, went to 3.5, then to 4. They let me know when they were ready to change times. They don't eat well if I try to feed before 4 hours. We do only go 2.5-3 hours before their last feed though, due to bedtime. Mine don't go to bed until around 7:30-8 (seems to be getting a little earlier each night though). Going to bed at 7:30-8, they sleep until 4:30 - 5 and then go back to sleep until around 7:30 - 8. They've done this for a couple of months. A few times they've slept through the night, not waking up until 6:30-7, but not consistently yet. I always say that it never hurts to try something, if it doesn't work, just don't do it again. Good luck.
