I can not believe I am 5 cm and 100 effaced (35 weeks). I have contractions all the time and I am still home! Shouldn't I be in the hospital. I do not want these babies at home!! At what point do they intervene?
    Anyone else dilated??

Sounds like you are REALLY close.

I waited until I had contractions every 3 min apart and was 6cm dialated before I went to the hosp with my singltons. (I had a midwife check me at home so that's how I knew how dialted I was) I still was 8 more hours in the hospital before they came out!

Didn't ge tthe chance to go into labor with the twins. how far apart are your contractions? I think you are best to be home for a lot of it. Are your contractions coming regularly?

At 5cm I would watch out for any symptoms and head over once you feel any. Watch for your body to give you signs (doesn't always happen but could), like nausea, feeling like you have to go to the bathroom a lot, a feeling of deeper pressure or if you just feel like something is happening. Have you had contrax up to this point!
Congrats on making it this far!!! Sounds like it shouldn't be long!

I'm dilated to a 3cm at 33 wks. Contractions often, lets just stick it out. I'd rather be home then in hospital. As long as contractions are still irregular and don't become more intense bedrest moms should be fine for now.

I'm not dilated at all yet as of my internal yesterday. I am starting to efface and I haven't been having really any contractions.

Sounds like you're getting there - congratulations!

When I showed up for the hospital on INDUCTION DAY at 37 weeks I too was dialted 5cm and 100% effaced! Even after 4 hours of pitocin and contracting every 1min -- nothing! the nurse said are you sure you arent in pain? we cant give any more pitocin your contracting every 1-2 minutes. Nothing happend till my doc broke my water. I had 2 babies less than 5 hours after she did that :) Good luck to you, and be proud half your laboring is over! Most women would kill to be in your (our) position!!!

jsut think to yourself quick, fast labor :)
