    Hello,

I have several questions for those of you who have 5-6 month olds or those that can recall what their's did at this point.

    1. What time was bedtime?

    2. What time did they wake in the morning?

    3. How many naps and an idea of times?

    4. Did yours sleep through the night at this point?

    5. If not sleeping through the night, how many times did they wake? For paci, soothing, or eating?

    Thanks so much!!!

Wellllll...this is where we aren't so consistent, but getting better! 9:30am is usually always the first nap, then, 12:30, and usually another one late afternoon. They last from 1-2 hours usually....usually 1 hour!

At 3 months Emma slept thru...Jacob was another story!! He slept through at 6 months! He woke up for one feeding till 5 months. And for a binky....at least 5-10 times a night til 6 months. At 6 months, I let him cry(which only lasted 2 nights, and at the most 5 minutes), and since then he's been sleeping thru!

    Hope this helps!!

    1. What time was bedtime?

Bedtime is 6:30. They are in their cribs at that time, but usually "talk" for about 10-20 minutes before fallina asleep.

    2. What time did they wake in the morning?

On the norm, they wake up at 7-7:15.

    3. How many naps and an idea of times?

They are still taking 3 naps a day. The first at 9,this one is one hour. The second at 12, this one is usually 1.5 hours, but sometimes {not enough times, lol} it can go 2 hours. If there second nap is 2 hours then their third nap is at 4...if its 1.5 hours then it's at 3pm. By 4:45 I get them up no matter what.

    4. Did yours sleep through the night at this point?

They don't sleep through the night. They wake up around 5ish to have a bottle and then go right down til 7. I consider this sleeping through the night bc they barely wake up to eat, but do finish the whole bottle!

    5. If not sleeping through the night, how many times did they wake? For paci, soothing, or eating?

Once. They only get up for the bottle, they don't use a pacifier, and rarely get up for soothing... HTH!

I can only reply for my oldest dd ...

    quote:
    1. What time was bedtime? 6 pm

    2. What time did they wake in the morning? 7 am (or I would wake her at 7 am in order to secure her morning nap)

    3. How many naps and an idea of times? 9 am, 12 pm and 3 pm (approx. 1 hour each) and at about 6 months (9 am and 1 pm). The 9 am one was about an hour and then around 2 hours at 1 pm

    4. Did yours sleep through the night at this point? yes, 13 hours straight.

    5. If not sleeping through the night, how many times did they wake? For paci, soothing, or eating?
    n/a.

I followed Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child and my dd turned out the perfect example. I strongly believe in early bedtimes, from a child's perspective, but also from a "marriage" perspective [IMG]! It's great to have them in bed early and enjoy some adult time.

    1. 7:00/7:15
    2. 6:30
    3. Three naps (maybe 4)9:00, 1200, 4:00 (this is very much estimated. THey usually are up for 2 hours in between naps
    4. Not sleeping through!
    5. They wake to eat only. They were waking 2 times and eating 8 oz bottles until i could not take it any more and my sister came over this week and we analyzed their schedules. She said they should not be eating that much at night and thats why they are not so hungry during the day. I also had them on a 3 hour eating schedule. Now they are on a 4 hour schedule eating 8 oz. This week when they woke, they were satisfied with 4oz bottles.

    1. What time was bedtime? 7-7:30pm

    2. What time did they wake in the morning? 6:30-7:00am

    3. How many naps and an idea of times? every 2-3 hours, nap usually 30 minutes to an hour (1.5 hours once in awhile)

    4. Did yours sleep through the night at this point? Mine have been sleeping through the night since 2 months

    5. If not sleeping through the night, how many times did they wake? For paci, soothing, or eating?[/quote] One still sleeps like a log and won't wake at all for 10 hours or more (we often have to wake him up in the morning!) The other one was sleeping through the night, but for the last week is waking and crying a couple times a night because he rolls onto his belly and he can't roll back and hates being on his belly. Has never awoken only for soothing - but every once in awile he'll want a feeding in the middle of the night.

    1. What time was bedtime? Last bottle 7:30, in crib by 8pm

    2. What time did they wake in the morning? 1st bottle between 7-7:30. Olivia usually wakes anywhere from 4:30 to 6 for her binki but then falls right back to sleep.

    3. How many naps and an idea of times? Morning nap 9-11 or 12. Afternoon nap 1-3 or 4. They take an evening catnap but I don't put them in their crib for that one. They fall asleep in the bouncy, swing, on the couch, floor, etc.

    4. Did yours sleep through the night at this point? Yes. They have been sleeping through for awhile.

    5. If not sleeping through the night, how many times did they wake? For paci, soothing, or eating?

Beckers and I have almost the exact same schedule crazy huh???

My baby that wakes is Kevin. He usually is a once a night waker but sometimes he even sleeps all the way through! It is very random though. Patrick actually woke up the other night and Kevin didn't... sometimes they do that to keep you on your feet [IMG]

Bedtime: between 7 and 7:45 (the earlier the better.) We put them down after they nurse.

Wake up each morning about 6:30

Naps: 3 consistant ones....each lasting at least 1 1/2 hours.
    1 around 8:00
    1 around 11:00
    1 around 2:00

They sleep through the night...not a peep [IMG]

(We had to do a little of the CIO method to get all this to work so well)
