Hi there... just had my shower and I got approx. 45 onesies ranging from newborn to 3 months. Is that too much? I don't want to be doing laundry every day or even every few days... (preferring once per week actually)!

And then from the 3 - 6 months sizes, I got about 36 onesies...

Do I have too many if I don't want to do launcry but once a week?

I'm not sure exactly how many we had. Could you leave some packed and open them and wash them if you see you need them? It sounds like alot but when they are newborns, they do go through alot of clothes.

Wow that sounds like a whole lot to me. Could you exchange any of them for bigger sizes after they are born if you don't need all of them?

That sounds like WAY too many to me! I think we only had about 10 for that age...and that was plenty.

We got over 60 onesies in 0-3 month size when I was pregnant with my (singleton) son...that was obviously WAY too many and I returned most of them...only to find that I never did really use even the ones I kept! It was rare for me to ever put on a onesie...but keep in mind he was born in the summer in California?!

I think it's a lot, even for twins  , people were really generous to you! If you can, i would advise you to change for bigger sizes or even vouchers for something else you might want :D

I had ~10 in size 3 months and the same for newborn. I rarely used them because even in the summer they were too cool with just those on so we would keep them in sleepers. My neighbor just had a baby this winter and she uses onesies underneath the sleepers so I guess it depends on the season.

I agree with this. We actually used a lot of onesies ... but I did wash every couple of days ... I would keep 'em and just don't open them ... but check the return policy for how you long you have. Then you can return them for maybe 9-12 ... or for some other stuff you need that you didn't get.

EXCHANGE THEM FOR bigger sizes!!!!
My babies had soooo many 0-3 months clothes they hardly wore.... now
that they are 6 months and eating solids, spitting, teething, etc, I wished I had exchanged or those clothes bigger sizes,
even the ones for going out clothes you really don't need that much in the beginning.

Sounds like alot to me too. Its so hard to do sizes because you never know when they are going to be born and how big they are. My older DD was 10 lbs when she was born and pretty much skipped the 0-3 months stuff. I had all this beautiful pink stuff that she wore maybe once.

And the boys, well they were born early and I had nothing for them. I had to go to BRU when they were in the NICU and get them some preemie clothes.

It seems like a lot, but my first born spit up all the time. We went through 3 outfits and onsies a day with her. If my twins are like her, then I can see us going through 40 onsies in a week.

WAY too many for the amount of times you'll be washing. My girls wear about 5-8 in each size consistently. I was a load of their clothes/blankets/burp cloths about every other day. See if you can return any of them. BRU throws a fit about returning without a receipt, but they will do it. Wal-mart is super easy about it and Target, well, you can forget it. So I would prioritize that way.

Good luck!

Way too much in my opinion! I think we had 12 in each size range for my twins!!!

I hear that a lot of mothers infant twins grew so fast that they barely used their 0-3 mths. I am told to buy a months worth of 3-6 mths, more of the 6-9 mths. and 9mths. as well as 12 mth. clothing. So far I have about 75-80 clothing ranging from 0-9mths and a few pieces of 12 mth. 50 of those are onesies ranging from 0-3 mth-3-6mths. I did not find out about how fast they grew until after getting the clothes. So now I only receive or buy 6-9 mth. and 12 mth clothing. These are clothing that I received from other moms who never had a chance to use them on their infants because some went straight to 3-6 mth. But if you don't want to wash 45 onesies should last you close to a mth. between the 2 of the babies and afterwards you can either sell them or give them away depending if you are up for purchasing bigger clothes for them yourself later. ;)

We went through an average of two-three sleepers a day each at that point. It was December so we kept them in sleepers, if you are using onesies during the day and sleepers at night you may not need quite that many. If you exchange them I would exchange them for 12 or 18 month clothes. We are hitting those sizes now and I do wish I had done some trading up. I would err on the side of more rather than less though if you hate laundry as much as I do :)

My girls never wore short sleeve onsies at all in the first year. They were born at the end of April and it was too cool in the house with the air on - they wore footie sleepers for most of the first 3 months unless we were going somewhere - which wasn't often.
