4 Sets of Twins!

Yay for twin friends :a_smil09: !!!

Recently I had lunch with 3 other TS twin moms, Megan (mom of Jake & Ryan - 4 months), Damiane (mom of Indira & Arjun - 4 months), and Mory (mom of Colby & Kellen - 8 months.) The BEST PART...I met them all right here on TwinStuff!!! We spent nearly 2 hours sharing stories, venting and socializing. They are all amazing women, and nobody understands having twinfants more than another mother of twins!

We had lunch at the mall and had to eat in shifts, but the babies were generally well-behaved, at least as well as you can expect from 8 infants! We all had to eat one-handed as we held a baby with the other hand, but that's nothing we aren't already used to doing . We attracted a bit of attention, but not nearly as much as we expected. I think it was a little more intimidating with all 4 of us there, we also were good at avoiding eye-contact with lookie-loos! The silliest question we got was "Are y'all related?" LOL!!

It was a wonderful experience for me as I have been feeling a little isolated since I've stopped working. I am really looking forward to spending more time with these great women and watching our babies grow together. How much fun it will be when they can play together !

I wish there were more near me too. That's really fun. Yes, it IS nice when someone can understand!

What a great outing! I am in Jacksonville, FLA and wish there were more moms near me. I think there was just a florida outing....are there any in the future???

Actually Damiane is organizing a picnic/gathering in Tampa in March! You should come if you can . The info is on the board in TS Parents Club events/gatherings subforum...

My husband and I just went to a party last Saturday that hosted by a couple that were in our "Marvelous Multiples" class held at the hospital before we delivered. There were 8 couples with 8 sets of twins. (We were missing 4 couples) All of the twins were born within 2 months of each other. Surprisingly everything went great!! My two were fascinated at all the babies that were there!!!! We have some pics posted on our website.

 

How cool is that!! How much fun! Thanks for sharing... I wish I lived closer to other TS mommies!!

So Cool!!! I love the pictures and I really wish that there were more twin moms around me! I obviously have twins, but then also have an older daughter and people seem to think they can relate to me if they too have 3 kids... In some ways yes, but no one can really understand what having twins is like unless they have them!

As an aside... What kind of stroller is the jogging one? I would love to get a jogging stroller, but the sbs joggers seem so wide!

Just a thought... Maybe there could be a twins in your area sticky somewhere. I think it is awesome that you all were able to meet up, and if there were a sticky or something with the states or regions so that twin moms could post where they live and maybe more twinstuff moms could meet up!
