4 months old check-up

I took my girls for their 4 months old check-up last week and was shocked how big they are now!!! 15 lbs and 4 oz and 15 lbs and 11 oz!!! They were born at 36 weeks and were just over 5 lbs each. I really can't believe how time is going so fast, I barely remember the first two months as it was very hard with reflux, lack of sleep, no help and apnea monitors. I am trying to stop their reflux meds to see how they will do. 2 days now and so far so good. Still spitting up but no pain. I have one more week before I go back to work. I am so nervous going back to work but happy I can work 4 days a week/30 hours. they have started laughing out loud, recognizing each other and STTN some nights.

Just wanted to share, especially with new mothers as it seems like it will never get easier in the beginning. It is still hard but more fun now as they are developing personalities and smile a lot.

Those are great weights! Glad you had a good appointment! It is really amazing how it can go from survival mode to being able to enjoy things. The months just keep getting better as they keep learning new things. Wishing you luck with the reflux meds!

 

Wow you have some cuddly babies there! You have done well getting them to such a healthy weight.

 

Mine just had their 4 month check up, and they weigh 15.2 and 15.4, and they didn't start out at 5 lbs! Great weight gain, especially with reflux.

 

Yay they sure do grow up fast don't they?? Great weights on them babes!! :wub:
