So, Marcus & Maddox got their 4 month shots on Monday. I know that they would be a little under the weather...but dear Lord...they are miserable.

Maddox more than Marcus. They have been crying and whiney (which they rarely are), and Maddox's eating is horrible.

It's been 6 days. One feeding Maddox eats his bottle (5.5 - 6oz), the next he only eats 2 or 3oz. I can't believe he slept as long as he did this morning by only eating 3 oz before bed last night. I had to wake him up because his brother was up.

    Should I be worried?

:hug99: for them being so out of sorts, and for you having that happen for that long. If you are worried, I would call the pedi. just to double check. They can give you the best answer. As for our experience, my girls were a little cranky and didn't eat so well, but only for 2 days or so.

Do you think something else could be the cause? Have they started teething? What you described is what Maggie did when she was first teething. Whatever the cause, I hope they get back to their happy selves, soon. :hug99:

I would call the pedi. Mine are definitely cranky after shots but only for the duration of that day. When I bathe them that night before bed they are back to normal. However I know other babies react for longer times and I think a handout the doctor gave me specifically said that reactions may last a few days after the shots. I'd call and ask though, it doesn't hurt. Maybe initially it was the shots but now something else is bothering him?

We started them on vegetables this week...probably not a good week to start. So I stopped 3 days ago, so at this point I wouldn't think it was from the peas.

Maddox had a slight fever the first 3 days and now has a small rash on his face and chest which I think is from the fever.

It's hard to tell...because right now they are acting like their normal selves. Kicking, playing, and smiling away.

I think I'll call the ped just to be on the safe side.

    Thanks ladies!!!

Please keep us posted on what the pedi. says, and how they are doing. I'm glad they sound like they are doing better today, but it never hurts to call! :hug99:

Both my girls were out of whack for about three days following the 4 month shots, but no fevers or rashes. Your little ones may have a virus of some sort. I would call to check. Hope they feel better soon.... :)
