I just bathed my daughter and noticed her nipples are inverted and the area around the nipples are red and puffy...now my daugther has excema so I don't know if this is just something related to that or something to be concerned about...I googled it and found alot saying that it's normal for newborn infants but nothing related to older babies.

    Should I be concerned??

I dont know. I would call your Ped. I am betting that the eczema has something to do with it.

I would also ask the doctor, but I'm thinking he/she's going to say it's normal.

I took Jocelyn in yesterday, they looked at it and said she has Mastitis! I thought only breastfeeding women get that...apparently not. It's an infection of the breast tissue so they put her on an antiboiotic. It's painful in women so I HOPE she's not in alot of pain.

wow an infection- sorry, hope she feels better soon!
My DD who is almost 6 months old had discharge coming out of her nipples last month, we noticed after a bath - Dr sais it was not infected but she will be watching it and if we noticed anything red or tender to call - scary stuff!
