Well Dillon and Lucas are four months old today and had their four month check up today :)

    Lucas: 13lbs 8 oz 24 1/4 inches
    Dillon: 14lbs 6oz 25 inches

They both grew 2 inches. Both are doing great. Their pedi did detect a heart murmur when listening to Dillon's heart. He said it is nothing to worry about, that it is a flow murmur, totally normal at 4 months and he will check next time they come in.

They got their shots. Both held their breath. He said, when it came to Lucas, he has never seen a baby hold his breath for that long. He said it can run in families. I knew my younger brother held his breath all the time when he was a baby, found out from my mom, that I did too.

He said it is up to us when we want to start introducing solids. He said we can start now or six months, totally up to us and what we feel the babies are ready for. So will probably start rice cereal within the next few days.

He was very happy with what they are doing...rolling tummy to back, STTN, grasping for toys, they both try to get our attention when we stop paying attention to them, and trying to hold their bottles. He said we were right on track.

I asked about the spit up b/c it just seems to be a lot more. He said that is normal b/c they are moving around more, their stomach will get shook up more so it is typical that at this age they spit up more. He said when they start standing it should slow down....lol...that is a long time from now.

Nice appt Dillon and Lucas  Do they think the heart murmur will just resolve with age? Sounds like they are doing great developmentally. Great job Dianna!

He said yes. That right now the heart is pumping more at this age b/c they are out growing their blood supply so that can cause a murmur and I guess when it all catches up(blood supply) the murmur will go away.

    Way to go, babies! :yahoo:

Did you do anything special to get them to start rolling over? My daughter did back to front once, by accident I think. Of course I missed it and she hasn't done it since. My son seems content just lying around on his back. He's either too heavy, or just lazy! And going tummy to back? That seems like a long way off...

They just spend a lot of time on their tummies.
