Yesterday was the babies 4 month appointment. They are doing great! They pretty much have been dead even in weight- height even in the womb, expect our ds was born at 3.8 and our dd 4.10. As of yesterday, our dd weighs 13.2 lbs. and measures 23 and 1/2 inches our ds weighs 13 even and measures, surprise- 23 and 1/2! That puts or dd in the 50% for weight and 25% for height, and our son in the 28% for weight and the 8% for height. Not too shabby for 34 weekers!

They are also sleeping thru the night as of last week, 9pm until 6-7 am and our dd rolls over!

Now the question: they both went crazy last night screaming for an hour each, out of control screaming like they were in pain. Ds also threw up on me, not spit up but threw up a lot! Has this happened to anyone else after their 4 month check-up? They are better this morning, but jeez that was awful! Not to mention we lost power in the midst of a heat wave, here in the Northeast! fun, fun, fun.

Here are some recent pictures of the buggers-

Thanks Elizabeth. Glad to see you back on TS!!!

Oh, I wanted to attach this pic. It is a wonderful shot of me looking like a circus entertainer in my gym clothes but when I see everyone's pictures I try to figure out who the Mom is and with my pictures I am usually not in them. So this is me-

What cute pictures!!! My girls have had fussy nights after shots. If they have a rash, or are feverish today, or if they throw up again, I'd call the pedi just to make sure this is a normal reaction. Do you think he threw up because of his stomach or because he was crying so hard? Did they give you dosing for tylenol? If not, call and ask because the tylenol will help with any sore legs or uncomfortableness from the shots. :hug99:

I think he threw up as a combo of screaming so hard and the shot reaction. He also threw up after we tried to give him some tylenol, it was almost immediate. They are doing much better today so I am letting it go and dreading the next round of shots.

Glad to hear they are doing better today. For us, the 6 month-12 months were not so bad. Yes, they cried, but it wasnt that newborn cry that you cant stop. As they get older, you will have diversion tactics on your side like food and toys.

You babies are so cute! Thanks for sharing all your pictures!
I always give infant Tylenol before and for a while after shots to help with the sore spots from the shots...poor babies! That always seems to help, or at least I havent had any scream fests to speak of...at least never from shots that is:)

[SIZE=10pt]Poor babies....mommy and daddy too :hug99: Glad to hear that they're feeling better today.

My pedi recommends giving a dose of tylenol about half an hour before their shots ~ according to him it helps with the pain and such

Your lil ones are adorable ~ thanks for sharing. You look great too!!

Thanks for looking everyone! And also thanks for the advice re: the shots! I guess one of the terrible things a parent has to endure is listening to the painful screams for something that is really necessary and good for them. Being a parent is hard, why didn't anyone tell me. ;)

They are precious! Babies react to shots differently and I am glad that your babies are feeling better. I hate shot day, I hate to see the babies cry like that-especially since they do not understand that what is being done is good for them.
