4 1/2 Months, Do I Let One Sleep Thru Yet?

Ok, the girls have been teasing me off & on with 12 hr nights...but one, Reagan, can't decide if she is ready or not & will wake up around 3am. Riley usually is sound asleep but I get her up, fearing she will just wake later to feed. Reagan will gulp her whole bottle down, Riley will either drink the whole thing or leave a max of 2oz (out of 7 1/2 oz).

I asked a while back & I thought everyone said around 4 months they would let one be if it wasn't awake. But now I'm confused, LOL, since she drinks so much of her bottle should I continue to get her up w/the other?

    Thanks for your help!

Absolutely! I stopped waking the two together at 3 months. Patrick has always slept through and Kevin is still waking up periodically.

I stopped waking the other one up around 5 weeks since we were always waking her up ... turned out she only needed to be fed once during the night instead of twice like her brother.

I just started not waking both about 3 weeks ago. A few times they both slept through the night, a few times on or the other slept through, but lately both are back to waking up around 130-2:30 to nurse. They are teething and have allergies so who knows???

Absolutely! The requirement, or preferred advice from the pedi's is to wake to eat anytime BEFORE 3 months. So anytime after, you can let them sleep through if they will!!

Thank you girls! Now that I asked the answer seems kind of obvious, LOL! But it is good to have a little back up support!

Shelby started sleeping through at about 2 1/2 months. We were nervous the first couple of nights that we let her sleep and let Mayson get up, but it worked wonderfully. They have both been sleeping through for the past month.

ABSOLUTELY! Let them sleep as long as their little hearts desire. I would just feed the one that wakes. You can work them back together in the morning. Enjoy the extra rest.

I would let her sleep throught, otherwise you may get her into the habit of waking. She will wake on her own if she really needs that bottle.

we stopped waking DS up after 6 weeks when he started sleeping through on his own...by 6 weeks his sister was only getting up once to eat...they'd both then get up around 6 am, eat and go back to sleep till 9 or 10

I don't want to rub it in but my guys have been sleeping through the night since 2 1/2 months. They are formula and cereal babies due to reflux so maybe that had something to do with it.

I read somewhere on here before to just try to soothe the one waking back to sleep without feeding. Perhaps a pacifier if you use them or just some rocking and singing.

I hope this helps a little!
