3rd Trimester weight gain?

Hi,
I just had my 24 week appointment and I've gained 24 pounds. So far it is all belly. Did anyone experience the same thing and then it changed and you gained in other parts of your body? Also - did you gain more in the 3rd trimester or did it seem to stay pretty steady?

I was really sick the first trimester, into the beginning of the 2nd, so I had only gained about 10lbs by 24 weeks. Altogether I gained 47...I was on bedrest the last 9 weeks.

 

I'm wondering the same thing. My dr. recommended that I gain more bc of my size to begin with, I was about 10-15lbs. underweight. I've gained 29 lbs. and I'm at 26 weeks, but like you I'm all belly, well, maybe a little bit in the rear-end!!! Other people tell me that I look good, but when I tell them what I've gained, they all have input. My suggestion is to take the best advice I've gotten. Gain what you need to make your babies healthy, and worry about losing the weight later! Thats what I've been doing. Good luck

I'm 28 weeks and have gained 35 lbs. It is all belly and maybe some chest. From behind you can't tell i'm even pregnant.And i'm carrying very low.

 

All my weight was in my belly! I gained 40 lbs in 36 weeks. Most of which came in the last two months!!

 

I'm 20 weeks and have gained about 20 pounds.

I gained 50 and 57 with my DS and DD (singletons)!

 

I was really sick my first trimester and gained hardly no weight at all. I really didn't gain until my last trimester. My co-workers joked all the time that there as no way that I was pregnant with twins because I didn't look big enough. But, then again, I am pretty tall with a long torso, so I had plenty of room. I think I only gained about 30 lbs the entire pregnancy(mainly belly and breasts), which is how much I gained with my first son. But, my girls had really good weights considering they were early.

 

I am 20 weeks & have gained 20 total pounds total. Most of it is belly. I can't even wear my old tees anymore. My belly hangs out of them! My breasts have also gone up a cup size from a c to a D. My face is also a little fuller.
I worry about losing the weight too. 45-50 pounds is a lot of weight for a small framed girl like myself.

I am 35 weeks and gained like 24lbs by about 28 weeks all belly and no breast (darn) and then slowly gained a little more, got up to like 30lbs by 31 weeks and wow the last few weeks putting on like 2-3 lbs a week (crazy) I heard it comes on more in the begining (if not too sick) and alot at end. I have now gained 41lbs and people say I look good and look like all belly. I know different I know Ive gained some behind and thighs ( oh well ).

I only gained 24 lbs w/ my last pregnancy and she was 7lb 12oz, 8 days early. BUt I gained 32 the preg before ( he was 9lb 5 oz) and I gained a woopin 60 some lbs w/ my first and he was only 7lb 8 oz, my point being it really varries.

 

I gained 75 pounds total! 30 pounds in the first trimester, about 25 in the second and about 20 in the third. It was a pretty steady weight gain throughout, but slowed down a bit at the end. About 50 pounds was in my belly (that's what I lost within 2 weeks after delivery) and 25 pounds everywhere else. This is the part I had to work off
