I always promised myself when i got pregnant i would have one done. After 3 and a half years of work for these babies, I am making good on that promise! Tomorrow my husband, my sister, my mom, and my son are taking me 2 hours away to get it done. I wondered how many other twins moms did this?

How many weeks, were they able to tell gender? Did the photos come out nicely. I am worried about my right baby that hasn't shown us anything in forever, hard to get any decent US photos of her/him. And wont let us see gender either.

I keep reading to drink something sugary, but then i worry my left baby is already a spazzoid, and moved so much couldnt get his fetal echo done. What if i make that one move to much, LOL. It is a lot of money and a long drive, i want it to go nicely. I also feel it will go a long way in preparing my son for the babies coming, he is autistic and sometimes dont fully understand things right away.

anyone got some photos i can see?

I want to get this done too, so keep us updates :D , Does the place your going to offer a follow up quick scan if they cant tell the sexes on the first visit? The place i was thinking about going to in a few months (way to early now) says that if for some reason the cant see the sex on the day of your visit they'll have you come back for a free quick peek to try again.

my place does as well, but a two hour drive is a long way, LOL. I am so desperate at the moment though I just may make the trek again.

My specialist gave me one at 31W- just for fun! We have a lot of good pictures too. It's amazing how detailed the u/s is.
    Have fun!

I had one at about 31 weeks and it was so great to finally get a good look at what the babies looked like! We also brought a bunch of people to watch- it was really fun! I was a bit further along than they like because sometimes the babies can be kind of squished in there, but it worked out great. Have fun and post pictures if you can!!

I had the 4d ultrasound done at 25 weeks. It was so awesome. The first 20 minutes the babies were moving around like crazy. The were like tangeled all over each other.

It was so cute. There was a 100" screen and a comfy couch abut 10 people. Which we did fill the whole room with our families!

    You're going to ENJOY it!!

Oh yeah, and they can for sure tell the gender. That was the other reason why I wanted to get it done. I was told I was having 2 girls-- but my gut told me that there was a BOY in there!! But sure enough, yes.. there were 2 GIRLS!!

    HAVE FUN!!!

I had mine at 21 weeks. It was hard to get really good pics as they were smaller. My signature has the best photo of baby b. IT was worth it getting a dvd of them so I can keep! Good luck!

We had this doen at 25 and 29 weeks...it was wonderful...yes they could see the genders. IT was so worth it!

The place we had it done put it on a DVD and put very soothing music to it. They also had Video streaming where someone could watch from any computer ANYWHERE so if you have family out of town they could watch the video and hear everything going on in the room too....we didn't use that option...but it was there.

Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy....oh yeah and they gave us a CD rom with over 90 pics on it....and a stack of pics

Seeing as how I get an u/s 3 times each week from my peri's office, I very casually asked today if they used the same machine for the 3D u/s as she was finishing up my BPP. She said "oh yeah, I just have to use a different probe!" Then she grabbed it an went to town on my belly. Wouldn't you know, both girls got camera shy! :p Baby A put her hands in front of her face and baby B turned towards my back. The only pic she could snap and print was baby A grabbing her foot and pulling it towards her mouth. I'm very worried already as EVERYTHING seems to go straight to her mouth already. Maybe our little runt will pack on the pounds when she is born!
