3D/4D Ultrasound

I just had a 3D/4D Ultrasound and the twins were not really cooperating...yet again. My doctor said to drink a pop or eat chocolate before my last ultrasound to get the twins active so I did...and it didn't work. Then when I went to have the 3D/4D ultrasound, I made sure to do the same thing and it didn't work again. They said that if I have a high sugar tolerance, eating a candy bar or drinking pop wouldn't really make a difference. We are having lots of trouble with Baby A...He/She will not cooperate. Baby B is somewhat photogenic but the placentas kept getting in the way. Does anyone have any other ideas on how I can get the twins to cooperate and be more active during our next ultrasound?

 

I usually drink a cup of coffee befoe my ultrasounds. Like you soda and candy doesn't work for me either. Coffee has a bit more caffeine in it than a soda and candy bar. I know for me after a cup of coffee the babies are dancing and moving all around. Good luck on your next ultrasound!! :good:

 

I make sure I have juice and breakfast before my ultrasounds and that ususally works. I didn't do that with my first and he was always curled up sleeping or sitting on his hands. I also try to schedule the ultrasounds for when they're most active. They have wild parties about 3 times a day -around 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. My ultrasounds are always at 9 or 2.

 

I always drank a big glass of orange juice and that seemed to do the trick! GL!

 

Mine never mug for the camera. We have occassionally gotten a decent 2d shot of baby A's profile but baby B has never given us a good shot. They are both looking down and there's just not enough space -- especially for a 3d.
