39 weeks and still cooking

Well, Julianna did not seem too impressed by thanksgiving dinner...didn't want to come out and join the festivities. Oh well. I was pretty nervous Wednesday night and Thursday night b/c my ctx have definitely increased. I was actually in considerable pain off and on all day Thursday with ctx, wondering if I was going into labor. I even had about 7cx in a row after I went to bed thursday night...all spaced about five minutes apart. But alas, I fell asleep and woke up this morning with Julianna happy as a clam to still be inside. Not as many ctx today, but I still feel that edge of anticipation just waiting... I remember feeling this way with my first, and only, labor..and then when I hit my due date the nervous anticipation slipped away and was replaced with irritation and annoyance that nothing was happening yet! LOL! I'm scheduled for another appt on monday. Nothing was going on with my cervix last monday, and honestly I think I will be disappointed if they find the same thing this monday in spite of all the ctx I've been having. They have me scheduled for another growth scan on monday. Mostly b/c she had slipped from 66%tile to 30%tile in size from week 30 to week 36....it could mean the difference between having a 9+lb baby or having a 6-7lb baby...so since I'm doing vbac I think they kind of want to know if the 36week u/s was a fluke and see if they really will be dealing with a large baby. I'm kind of hoping I just don't make it to my u/s on Monday!! ha ha.. My docs are pretty much okay with letting me go until 42 weeks if necessary, and will only do induction at that point if I'm favorable for one...meaning nicely effaced and starting to dilate at least to a 2 or 3. And I'm fine with that b/c induction with vbac isn't the best idea in the world..if I'm not favorable for one I think I'd rather just have a repeat c/s rather than increase my chances of a failed labor with c/s or the slightly higher chance that my uterus would rupture. anyway, hopefully Julianna decides it's a good time to come out soon!!

 

way to hang in there! Your spirits seem high for being so close to your due date. I am praying for a fast and least amount of pain for your labor.

39 weeks, so crazy to think that you are there already. I hope you miss your Monday appt too...

 

I feel for you. I really do. I am hoping she will make her appearance sooner rather than later, lol. For your sake anyway.
