37 week update

I just got home from the doctor. I am 2 cm dialated and 70% effaced. When DH asked what he thought about making to be induced around 39 weeks he answered "there is a 50/50 chance you won't make it until next week" I guess the way I am dialating, effacing, and thinning out he really wouldn't be suprised if he got the call this week sometime, which, as long as Zack is healthy is great. DH's grandpa is only expected to make it 2 weeks at the most.

So, maybe I am closer to meeting my little man than I thought.

 

Wow! I wasn't measured (per my request) at my doctor's appt. At 36 weeks I was only 1 cm dialated. How do they how 'effaced' you are? I'm sure you are really looking forward to meeting him!

 

How exciting!!! I hope he comes soon to meet his great-grandpa! That would be a wonderful blessing!

Congratulations on the good news! I hope your little one comes sooner rather than later since he'll be term soon.

On a side note, my doctor and then midwife were constantly telling me they didn't think I'd make it past 40 weeks with Dax even though I had a family history of going post term and the girls were nowhere near ready to be born when I was induced at 35.3 weeks. In the end, I delivered at 41.6 weeks after a 2 day induction. Sometimes doctors are just giving you wishful thinking but I hope that's not how it is in your case!

 

My doc isn't the type to say something that I want to hear. Generally when he says something, its because he really thinks it, but I am still not holding my breath for it to happen, but it did get DH in gear about putting in the car seat last night, plus I am getting my butt in gear and getting my bag packed today.

 

LOL I packed a little bag yesterday and today I moved the twins' carseats around. Still need to get the baby carrier in though. It'll be interesting to see how the twins like it tomorrow!

Things are moving right along......I have a feeling that next week is gonna be a baby explosion

Actually, I am flat out miserable. I am glad I am done working. I had to take the rest of my shifts off for the funeral. My back is killing me today and my stomach as been very tender and sore for the last few days. I just want to cry because I can't even care for the girls. Today I have made a bed on the living room floor and just plan on laying here to make sure they don't hurt themselves. I really just want to have this baby because my girls are suffering and its not fair to them.
