LOL :) I thought I was going in for my 37 week appt. today, but at the end they said I don't have to come back for 2 more weeks?? I asked cuz I thought at this point you were supposed to be going in every week. Apparently I was wrong. It's so different having an absolutely normal pregnancy, unlike with the twins where I was thinning and effacing at 29 weeks, dilating by 31 and delivered by 36, oh and the bedrest for PTL......

Anyways, all is well. TO WELL. Blood pressure was somthing like 101/60 which is ridiculously healthy. absolutely NO cervical changes and Doc said baby's -head kept floating back up when she'd touch it. Been having LOTS of BH, almost every night for the past week or so, they'll come every 5-7 minutes for a couple of hours at a time. Of course they stop, but sheesh I thought they'd be making some type of change to my cervix!

Doc did talk about some type of induction if I make it all the way to 40 weeks (they don't let you go beyond 41) Even though I'm going for VBAC, she talked about Pitocin if I have a favorable cervix, or the possibility of using a fulley (Sp?) bulb to dilate the cervix if necessary, but absolutely NO cervadil or hormones of ANY kind to dilate the cervix......

So, this little bugger seems to be settling in for a long summer's nap. I hate to tell him, but come he** or highwater, no matter the route of eviction, he's coming out by the 15th! LOL His due date is either the 18th or 22nd (depending which u/s you go by) but I REFUSE to go past the first due date, so he'd better get good and ready in the next couple of weeks!

Glad you had a good appt! Sorry there was no progress though. I was dilated 1 cm at 36 weeks with Olivia. At 37 weeks, still 1 cm, at 38 weeks still 1 cm...UGH!!! I was so frustrated that NOTHING else was happening. I didn't want to wait until 39w1d for my scheduled c/s. Well, sure enough, my water broke 4 days before that...so much for NOTHING happening...lol!

    Goodluck, you are SOOOOOOOOOOOO close!

I had pitocin to get my labor progressing. I was having contractions every 11 minutes for the longest time! It's almost time for you!!! I went into labor on my due date and then Evan was born a day later!

Can I ask... you had some testing done I think for Trisomy 3 (sp?)... did you get the results? I may have missed the post or maybe I'm way off in left field here.

LOL these singleton pregnancies are a little too easy! I told my OB that the other day... its nice to not have to be there every week.

I'm going for a VBAC as well.... be very careful with the pitocin because its not all its cracked up to be. I'm surprised she would induce at all!

Hooray for a great appointment!! I had the fully bulb when pregnant trying to deliver my twins and I wouldnt recomend it. It was very painful. For me it was. I hope things happen naturaly for you !

Sounds like a great appt! So glad everything is going well. I ended up being induced 4 days AFTER her due date (she was born the next day). Seeing that date come and go was so frustrating. People would ask "when are you due?" and I would sigh and say "3 days ago". LOL. Looking back it's funny.

The due date is more of an average so you shouldn't expect to have the baby born by then. I'm glad everything is going so great though! With Dax, my midwife started talking induction at my 41 week appointment. I was a little surprised because I thought I had until 42 weeks until that talk started. I ended up being induced with a foley bulb and then pitocin at 41.4 and had Dax 2 days later. My cervix was barely favorable at that point (it wasn't favorable at all when I was induced with the twins and I ended up with a c-section) so definitely don't go for the induction if you're not favorable. Seeing as how easy my singleton pregnancy was after dealing with a twin pregnancy, going 42 weeks was a breeze. :)

Hope that little one comes soon!
