had my 36 wk scan today...babies are 6 pound each... holy crap!!!! i never thought my little body was capable of housing 12+ pounds!!! my singletons were only 6 pound 7!!! :a_smil09: twin mommies rock!!!!

well , the big surprise was that after several months of being both head down and planning on a vag birth, baby b has flipped breech  sometime in the last month. didnt see that coming, neither did ob, who told me they prob wouldnt change <_< .

ob app tomorrow, guessing he will recomend a c sect, :shok: as he did b4 when one was breech half way thru. i'd like to try vag, but just not sure on taking the risk, and also, don't know how confident ob is at del breech vag :unknw: if he has already sugg a c sect b4. guess i will find out tomorrow!!

Also, cervical lenth was 2cm, and as she was doing that she said she could see that baby a had lots of hair!!!!floating in amniotic fluid!!!

cant wait for my app , ob has been talking about del at 36 wks for forever, maybe we get to meet our girls this week!!! :D i'll let you know how tomorrow goes and what he suggests!

Not much longer! Hang in there!

I had a breech extraction for baby B (he flipped between 26 and 30 weeks) and it was very smooth and easy. He was born 4 minutes later. They were 7lbs11oz and 7lbs10oz so even with that size it was easy (my oldest was 9lbs+ though). My doc and hospital were very skilled and familiar with breech extractions. I was always told that as long as baby A was head down we would go ahead with a vaginal delivery.

So it's definitely an option. Unfortunately, not a lot of doctors are willing to do it and/or do not have the proper skills to do it.

Did you deliver your other children vaginally? In that case, I think you should be a good candidate for breech extraction but again, not all docs can and want to do it.

    Good luck!

Good luck! Please remember that at that stage of your pregnancy, weights can be off, by up to a pound in each direction. It is not an exact science! I didn't think my body could hold 15lbs, 2oz of babies, but it did.. 21 inches each! :shok: Congrats! Sorry to hear that one turned.
