    Hi everyone,

Didn't know if I should post here or on expecting but anyway, I am 36 wks tomorrow and just ready to have these babies. On 12-10 was 1 cm and 30 %, on 1-16 was 2 cm and 50% and today (1-31) am 3 cm and 50%. I just wish I knew when I was going to deliver. Worst case scenario is I will be induced if I haven't gone by 38 wks which is only 2 more wks. With my son I was induced at almost 40 wks. How do you girls think I am progressing and any ideas WHEN? Thanks and everyone have a good day!

At 36 weeks, I was soooooo ready to deliver these two little guys, but it didn't happen. I kept thinking it would happen, but it didn't. I delivered my twins at my scheduled c-section at nearly 38 weeks. I do want to say that my cervix was not changing whatsoever, and I was never having any regular contractions. I know you must be so uncomfortable, but the longer they bake the better! Good luck.

:hug99: I know what you mean about being ready. :hug99: I don't think there is anyone that could tell you when it will happen. I walked around for a month being 2cm dialated and nothing ever came of it. I had a scheduled c/s when I was 39 weeks. I know it's tough, plus you have another ds, so that only adds to the stress, but you can do it. Hang on and your twinks will be here soon. And remember, the longer you cook them the better. :hug99:

I was in similar situation to you, and the closer it gets the more stressful sometimes b/c your trying to plan for all variables, especially once you know you are dilating.(for instance I kept thinking is my water gonna break today? tonight? what if I go into labor at the store?!) Unfortunately? It happens when it happens and in the meantime you get to be like this: 8P  .
I ended up being induced at 39 weeks. By then I was 100% effaced and dilated to almost 5cm and so my Dr broke my water. I was actually in labor(didn't know since been so uncomfortable so long) when I finally got my induction (it got pushed back by a week b/c the hospital literally could not take one more maternity patient) labor was pretty short.

You should hang in there. I know it's tough, but they're still preterm at this point. I was 2 cm at 32 and 33 weeks, 3 cm at 34 and 35 weeks, 4 cm at 36 and 37 weeks, 4 1/2 cm at 38 weeks and when I was induced. So yes, you could easily make it another 2 weeks, which I think is the best scenario for your children. It's rough, heavy and all that, but in the end it will be worth it and 2 more weeks could make a major difference. So if you can, hang in there. I had a very short labor, very quick (unlike my first who took 28 hours to come out). The twins were out in a little over 4. My oldest was 9 days late ...

I know exactly how you feel! I was So ready the last few weeks. I delivered at 36 weeks and 1 day. I was not dialated at all..my water just broke! I wished I could have kept them in there at least another week though...their lungs were still a little under-developed so they had some problems and had to be in the NICU for 9 and 14 days. Try to hang in there for a little longer, it will be worth it in the end. Take it easy and put your legs up! I do know how you feel though, it's not easy at this point!

At 35 weeks 2 days I was long and closed and crying because I wanted to go into labor so bad. When I went in at 36 weeks 3 days, I was dilated almost to 5cm and was sent right to the hospital from my doctor's office. I had a C-Section within hours (they did a quick ultrasound and Baby B was butt down).

I didn't feel much different or worse and had no idea that I had progressed so much more so you never know!

I wish I would have made it to 36 or 37 weeks. Ours came rather suddenly (wasn't dilated or anything) at 35 weeks 1 day when my water abruptly broke. The labor was LOOOOOOOOONG but I had an epi so I was actually kind of bored during parts of it.

Good luck! You are probably almost there; your body is doing the "pre-labor" labor right now.

Right now I'm just hoping I can make it as long as you have. I'm 21 weeks now with a slightly short cervix. I need to make it to 34 weeks to be able to deliver at the hospital that's near me. Otherwise, I'll have to deliver at a hospital that's a 3 hour drive from us. Maybe if I get to 36 weeks I'll just want them out, but I hope I get the chance to find out!!

I was so ready by 36 weeks too...even was sent to L&D after my stress test...they said I was 1cm...stayed at 1 cm til 38 weeks for induction...3 cervidils later, still at 1 cm....I had a c-section at 38 weeks and 1 day....but I also had NO change, and it sounds like you are, so maybe soon!!! Even though it's miserable, keep in mind that every day longer that they have is good for THEM!!! And SLEEP NOW....SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP! (I should know it's not easy advice to take when you're up to pee every hour and your leg falls asleep after 30 minutes...but try and rest now!)
