Hi ladies! Again, I have to just say that I love this forum!! So many great people and things to talk about and read!!!

So today I am 36 wks and 5 days and am extremely uncomfortable. I have my good days and I have my bad days ... this morning not so good! I had a rough night of sleeping -- I was up every hour either to use the bathroom or because my hands fell asleep so I finally was up at 3:30am and could not fall back asleep and stayed up until about 6am until I finally fell asleep on the couch. I feel so guilty sleeping on my sides too just because I feel like I'm squishing one of the boys ... forget about even trying to sleep on my back or sitting up. And the burning of the skin on my belly -- ouch! It feels like my skin is on fire sometimes, especially when clothing is touching it -- forget lotion, that seems to make it worse. I should have stock in the lotion business by now!! LOL!

At my last appt. my dr.'s first words to me were "any day now" ... that was last week Thursday. Don't get me wrong I'm super happy that they are still cooking and getting a better chance at being super healthy but I wish he wouldn't of told me that and that I wouldn't of told the entire family that -- now I'm getting asked about how I'm feeling everyday or if I've had any change, etc. etc. I know they mean well but it gets a little, okay a lot, tiring of answering the questions "Have you had those babies, yet?" And my husband and I wake up everyday wondering if today will be the day. And not to mention the people that will say to you "I have a feeling that today will be the day".... UGH! I'm thinking my dr. told me that because I'm a full 2cm and 70% thinned but I'm now realizing that you can sit on those #'s for a long time. My next dr. appt is tomorrow so I'm curious to know of the progress. I've had continual BH contractions almost on a daily basis but they only seem to come in the evening and only last for a few hours -- Has this happened to anyone else? Some days they are "stronger" than other days and sometimes they are close together but just when you even think about heading into L/D they stop or get further apart. Did anyone have the feeling of "today's going to be the day"?

Another question that people keep asking me is if I've been "nesting". Is anyone currently doing that or did anybody go through that phase when pg w/ twins? I'm so tired that I just don't see myself doing that ... I do my regular housework as I can but going clear nuts on cleaning something doesn't seem like something I'd have the energy to do.

Sorry for the long vent but it's just so great to be able to share your experiences with people who know what you've been through ... I hope you all have a wonderful day!

You poor thing! It does get very uncomfortable and you're a trooper. Any day now...ha...just kidding.

Hopefully, your body is making some progress for you but you know the longer those babies cook, the better.

As far as nesting, I didn't really last time because I was on strict bedrest. This time around, it's not so much a cleaning thing for me, as it is making sure I have food in the fridge, freezer, pantry, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, tp, etc, laundry caught up, etc. I don't want to go into the hospital and expect anybody to have to do my shopping or laundry...that kind of thing. Just trying to be prepared in general...the cleaning stuff, I do my regular cleaning but nothing over the top.

Congrats for being 36.5 weeks :clapping: You are sooooooo close!!
Those last 2 weeks were SO rough, but before you know it, it will all be over & you will wonder where the time went ;)

I was wayyyyyy too big to nest towards the end. I pretty much stayed on the couch or in bed bored out of my mind!
Hang in there momma ~ can't wait to hear your birth story & see photos of your little ones!

Do you know what the sex of your babies are??

I know what you mean! I'm 36 weeks and my doctor has been telling me all along they figured the boys would be here by Halloween. I'm 100% certain that Halloween will come and go. I'm scheduled for a c-section on Nov. 12th because Baby B is breach- I'll be 38 weeks. I'm pretty certain I'll make it that far. But, I know exactly how you feel about the phone calls- people keep calling me and saying "you said Halloween- when are you having them??" Or, I can't even go to the bathroom because if I don't answer the phone people start going crazy. Someone on here suggested I put a message on my machine advising that we haven't had them yet- so I did that and I think everyone got the point.

I'm collecting fluid under my belly and that's making my skin super sore- so I feel you there too!

I'm too tired to nest! lol There are a million things I want to get done and I keep adding to my husband's list, but I do very little myself other than sit here all day.

Good luck- I hope you're day comes soon!

I too Love this forum and feel so lucky to have all of you to talk to! I truly believe all of you are my best friends. No one else understands how I am feeling.

I am not as far along as you but I am right there with ya! I am constantly waking up to go to the bathroom and hate it cuz I get so cold. I too feel like i am squishing one of these babies when I sleep on my side but it is the only way I can sleep right now. I guess they are okay in there?? My feet are so swollen I gained 5 lbs in btw my last appts. and swear it is fluid retention.

You are almost there and you are doing such a great job taking care of those precious boys! Hang in there and keep up the great work! The end is near!

I don't think I have reached the nesting stage and to be honest I don't really know what that is? I have been crazy worrying about not having things prepared for the babies and I am only 29 weeks. I have been washing baby clothes like crazy, going through what I kept from when my son was a baby and organizing the nursery but housework....I have to admit I have a house keeper that comes once a week, Bless her heart, and it is only my son and I that are here since my husband works 4 hours away and is only home every other weekend. That may sound spoiled but I still work full-time and the last thing I want to do is clean house! Plus the most I can handle right now is laundry and it is so hard to reach into the washer for the clothes now that I have this big belly!

Take care Momma, a good vent is always good and we are hear for you!

36 weeks is FANTASTIC! Great job. Everyday you hang on is such a gift to your babies (and you). Big babies are healthier, eat better and SLEEP better. Take it day by day and rest as much as you can now.
