I had my 36 week u/s yesterday. The good news is that baby b's kidneys look better. There is just a normal amount of fluid in them now. The bad news is that baby a isn't growing like she was. They have always measured around the same, but this week they were a pound apart. The peri said since I'm 36 weeks, that he doesn't see a need to make me go past 37 weeks. So, they'll be arriving on Memorial Day, if they'll schedule a c-section that day. I'll be 37 weeks exactly. I'm wondering if they will, since it's a holiday. I should find out tomorrow. I'm excited, but nervous. I'm paranoid there is something wrong with baby a. He said it could be that they are just starting to grow at different rates or that her placenta isn't doing its job anymore. Of course, that freaked me out. He said that there is still a chance that their lungs might not be fully developed, but most likely they will be fine. I just pray they can come home with us. They were measuring a little over 5 lbs. and a little over 6 lbs yesterday. At my last u/s 3 weeks ago they were measuring 4.7 lbs. and 4.11 lbs. I hope everything is ok. I know I need to trust the peri. He is the expert, right? I have my regular ob appt. on Thur., so I hope to know for sure what will happen then.

It's nice you are being watched closely and that everything seems ok. Glad you have a date for delivery! Take care of yourself! Your life is never going to be the same again (in a good way!)

As the babies get bigger, my MFM told me the measurement margin of error increases. . . so there's a chance they are measuring off. Also, the positioning of the babies can make measurements harder or different. Hang in there!

    Hi Christie,

This is Tara. I work with your husband Ray. He told me the exciting news for Monday! I hope that everything goes well. I am sure that everything will be fine. My id twin boys were born at 34 weeks 4 days and their lungs were completely developed. They just stayed in hospital NICU because they were born too early to know how to suck so they were feeders and growers. They were only 4lbs. 14oz. 18" and 6lbs. 2oz. & 20".

Please let me know if you need any help once they are born.

    Tara
