I'm having an amnio on Wednesday to check for lung maturity. I'll be 36 weeks and 4 days.

Based on what information I can find, the biggest risk at this stage is breaking my water and early labor.

Last week my twins were measuring VERY small -- 4lb 3oz and 4lb 8oz. I'm hoping they get bigger before delivery.

Anyone else do the 36 week check -- hopefully w/ no problems? Did you have to rest the next day or just the same day?

I've actually already had two different amnios already and am not really looking forward to this again.

 I hope it goes well for you on Wednesday & that your little ones are growing growing growing :)
I had an amnio the day before my scheduled c-section (at 37.5 weeks), I stayed at the hospital that day and night since my appt was so early in the morning anyways - everything went well & the babies lungs were mature :good:
Keep us posted & good luck!

I think you will be fine and things will all be good. I had my sons at 34 weeks and their lungs were already mature. So I think you will have good results. Good luck!

I gave birth at 36w3d, and the lungs were fine. Never had an amnio to check beforehand.

Keep in mind that the u/s measurements can be far off ... your littles could be bigger than you think! Good luck!

My babies were born at 35 weeks and 6 days and they had no problems and no NICU. They were also supposed to be small in size (only 4 lbs as well) but ended up weighing in at over 5lbs a piece. I think your chances are good...good luck!!
