36 Week appt

Yikes, where has the time gone?

Things still looking mostly good. BP was high (148/94) but not alarming yet. Dr thinks that the baby will be big. I am not sure what her definition of "big" is, but it's hard for me to judge. It's been 11 years since my singleton (who was 8lbs 14oz) and nearly 3 years since the twins. The rib pain is what killed me with that pregnancy.

I'm right there with you on the rib pain... ouch!! Can you believe that in 2 - 5 weeks you'll have a bouncing baby to hold?

 

Congrats on your good appointment! How are you feeling? Not much longer and you'll have your baby...do you know if it is a girl or boy? Just curious but did your Dr. say why she feels you are having a big baby? Is it by the way you measure or are carrying? Keep up the good work!!

 

We don't know the gender. It never would cooperate at the ultrasounds.

She was guesstimating that it will be big just by the way things felt as she was poking around on my abdomen. The c section is scheduled for 8/8/08 at 8am. A few weeks ago, even the Dr mentioned "maybe it will weight 8 lbs 8oz" so she seems to be thinking larger than that. But we'll see. It will be interesting to find out.

 

What a good appointment and you are so close! Bigger than 8lbs 8ozs would make for a good size baby!

Congrats on the good appointment! 8/8/08 isn't far off and you may have an 8lbs 8oz baby too...wow that's a lot of 8s.
