I was uncomfortable all night long. I couldn't sleep on either of my sides because it just hurt- I almost felt like Keegan (Baby A) was sitting between my legs or something. I wouldn't call the feeling pressure like I want to push him out- just general pressure..if that makes sense.

I woke up around 4:00 to go to the bathroom and noticed that I was having menstrual type craqmping- consistent not coming and going. I finally got out of bed around 5:30 and came down to my couch and drank some water and although they feel like they've subsided a bit, I can still feel them.

Connor (Baby B) is breach and I have an u/s scheduled this morning at 10:30 to check to see if he's still that way (and I'm sure he is) and their size, etc. I have my nst and doctor's appointment tomorrow at 11:00. I'm not wicked uncomfortable or anything and don't think they're coming today or anything, but I'm just wondering if I should give the office a quick call this morning when they open at 8:00? My doctor's office is in the hospital 2 floors above radiology where I'm having my u/s this morning. I'm usually one for calling when anything feels strange, but since I have an appointment tomorrow I don't want to overeact.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My step mother had her twins at 40+2. She was scheduled for a C-section, but at 40+1 her water broke and she went into labor. Im not saying you are, but sounds to me like something is trying to happen... I would give the DR a quick call and see what they think. Thinking of you!

Call your OB if there is any consistency what-so-ever. This may be the onset of labor or it may by BH. Take a warm shower and lay down. If they do not stop, you definitely need to call. I was 35 weeks when I had my girls and my contractions started as just cramping and generally "not feeling right". For me they started at 10:00 in the morning and by 4:00 I was in full labor and had the girls by 7:00. Don't mess around if they don't stop.

Don't want to scare you, but you are far enough along that this may happen.

i think you should get checked - it never hurts! i had mild period like cramping too that didn't really come & go with any regularity & i dilated to 3cm - the girls were born the next morning. your doctor isn't going to mind - that's what they're there for. :) let us know what happens!

That's exactly what I had! Major period cramps starting around 11 p.m., couldn't sleep.
    Water broke at 1:30a.m., c-section at 5a.m. I was 35 weeks and 5 days!

    Update***
I went to my u/s this morning and my cervix went from 4.2 cm 3 weeks ago to 2.00 as of this morning, so they sent me up to see my doctor. He didn't do an internal or anything. He said based on how far along I am I'm coming into a time frame where going into labor is a possibility. I'm already taking Procardia for my contractions. I go back tomorrow for my NST. I'm having a c-section because Baby B is breach, so right now that's scheduled for November 11th, but I am supposed to pay close attention to any cramping or anything I'm feeling so I can get in in time to deliver them. I haven't had any cramping since this morning when it stopped at 5:30, but now I'm all panicked that I'll end up having to rush in for a c-section!!!!!

Hang in there and know that you are far enough along that you will most likely be able to take your babies home with you! Try to relax, drink LOADS of water and just understand that you will probably have cramping just about every day from here on. Tylenol can be your best friend. (That and us... LOL)
