35 week appt.

Everything went well this morning. I had the lovely Group B Strep test today. :huh: It's not bad, but geez...I'm having a c/s! I also saw the nurse practioner today and she is really nice. (My OB was just diagnosed with breast cancer, so it's a toss up who I see for my appts. now.) She estimated that Lola is over 5lbs. and confirmed that she is now head down. Yep, my bladder could have told her that. She also checked my cervix and I'm a finger tip dialated and not effaced at all. So, that's good news. I also gained 5lbs in the last 2 weeks , so that's a total of 9lbs.

I have appts. every week now, so hopefully I'll find out on Monday who will be doing my c/s. It's kinda odd being shuffled around to different doctors at this point in the pregnancy, but as long as everyone knows what they're doing I'm ok.

Aside from my appt, I'm feeling ok. My hips have started to ache a little and I think my night's of quality sleep are over. I can tell that I'm quickly approaching the "I'm so done with this" phase!

wow I cant believe your 35 weeks already! I am glad you had a great appt, even though they gave you the strep test. :unknw:

Please tell me you meant a total of 19 lbs as oppossed to 9lbs !!!! If not, I really feel like a porka!!!! :blush:

Yeah, I really did mean 9lbs. I'm about 5'6 and started the pregnancy at 177, so I really didn't need to gain much weight. I really never lost the weight from my pregnancy with Jax!

Wow, good for you!! I just had an unexpected appt. today and at 24 weeks, I have already gained 21 lbs !!! :blink: ...oh well...they don't seem worried...I am 5'8 and was 130 at the beginning...so, they say I'm on track...I can't say I am not eating crap though :blush: !

WOW, 9 lbs. is awesome! I gained 40 and had a baby that weighed less than 7 lbs. My weight loss journey will be LONG...lol!

Good for you on a great apt! I can't believe you are getting so close. How exciting! Keep up the good work!

I had to laugh at your comment about the GBS test b/c you are having a c/s. Well, I thought the same thing and they do it anyway b/c there is that chance you could go into labor. Well, I'm the perfect example...lol!!! My water broke. Not like an IV with antibiotics would've beeen a big deal on top of everything else, but it's just funny how things end up happening like that.

Yeah, I seem to do ok about not gaining too much during pregnancy, but after 3 pregnancies, I never lost the weight before I began the next one. I'll be on that LONG weight loss journey with you!
