I am 34 weeks and trying to make 38 weeks. Have had a pretty easy time up to this point but last week I just hit a complete wall. Just curious of your experiences? I am nauseous for most of the day. Babies were 4.5 lbs last Wednesday and they are breech so my rib cage is filled which is making any position day or night very hard, not to mention a lot of heartburn and acid reflux. I can constantly feel the two round heads together. Also, I have BH contractions constantly all day and night. I guess that is my body telling me to rest more? I already feel like I only leave the couch for a couple hours a day. Really not used to this - any predictors for going earlier? My doctor said at this point doesn't matter how strong the cervix was the whole pregancy, when they are ready, they will make the move. I would love to hear any one elses experiences to get me through the home stretch. I feel like my stomach is going to split open!

All I can say is, I am right there with you!!

I get up off the couch to pee, get my kids something, get me something to eat or drink, and go to bed! I really don't have the energy to do much else!

I'm already on reflux meds but I can still feel some heartburn again now.

My muscle on my ribs is seperating from my daughter, I think because she was transverse for so long.

I really have no advice, just commiserating that you aren't alone! :)

Oh and the BH, I've just been trying to drink more and more and rest more and more, sometimes it helps, but like last night they were just constant for several house, very uncomfortable and some very painful!

I went into pre-term labor last week at 33 weeks. I was released from the hospital the next day because my cervix was only 1cm and it wasn't dilating anymore. So, they let me go home. I went back to the doctor yesterday and my cervix is still the same, Im exaclt 34 weeks today. I can resume working if I want to, my doctor gave me steroid shots so he is fine with if the babies want to come early.
All I can say is I feel the same way you do; although, my girls are head down, so I feel the pain in my hips more. It's like a "widening" pain. I'm just counting down the days!!

I am 35 weeks today trying to make it to my C section date of 3/6/09, which would put me at 38 1/2 weeks. I can barely walk/stand anymore. The pressure is too great. Both my babies measured over 5lbs at my ultrasound yesterday. One is breech, one is transverse. I have reflux TERRIBLE when I lay down. I line up the tums on my bedside table and end up eating at least 4-5 a night. Night is the worst, by the way. When I first lay down my back and stomach muscles have to "settle" into the new horizontal position. It hurts soooo bad. I sleep wonderfully from 9:00pm until 12:00. Then it's all over. I toss and turn the rest of the night and my eyes are wide open. I am so uncomfortable. I am also constantly stuffy. At night I have to flip flop to drain my sinuses from side to side. I'm not too swollen yet, thankfully. Walking or standing is excrutiating on my pelvis. My groin back and general pelvic area become so sore. I get B&H usually at night and they are getting worse and worse. Sometimes it feels like intense diarrehea pains but then it subsides with rest and water. My back is sore 24/7. My belly button is completely out (has been for months) and is sore to the touch like a giant bruise. My hair also won't grow anywhere on my body. Haven't shaved in months and the hair on my head, while thicker, won't grow an inch.

Wow, it felt really good to rant! Sorry! I didn't mean for this to turn into a huge complaint post! :p I'm sure I left out a few things too! ;)

    Hi,
I am just over 33 weeks and right there with you. I feel like all I do is eat, sleep, and pee. Sleeping at night has gotten so miserable that I end up on the couch most nights. Every time I move even an inch I have a major urgency to pee. My back hurts, my hips hurt, my pelvis hurts. I feel like everything hurts. I have a 5 year old and 2 year old, and trying to chase around my 2 year old just about kills me. I'm also starting to get nauseous a lot and I even throw up sometimes - not fun at this point. My doctor says this is all my body's way of telling me to rest and take it easy. I'm just thankful to have made it this far with no complications. One thing that really helps me is taking warm baths. I take them all the time. My wonderful husband basically does everything around the house b/c I'm pretty useless these days. Just try to hang in there. We don't have too much longer!!!

Yes, your body is probably telling you that you need even more rest. It's hard but you are doing SO great!! You can do this momma. I was feeling horrible at 34 weeks. I was getting alot of BH and I thought I would never make it to the end, but I made it to 39 weeks. :good: So you can do this. :grouphug:

I was actually in 'nesting' mode around 30-34 weeks. I put together the WHOLE nursery including all the nails and screws put into the changing table, swings, etc. It was weird because I had an odd surge of energy. Guess everyone is different! I delivered at 38 weeks to the day.

Hearing from others helps me so much - it is not complaining. I hear all of you - I am glad I am not alone. I'm getting anxious - ironically I had a bad night of flu-like feelings and it just encourages me to take it easier. It helps to talk about it - I don't ever feel like I'll be ready with the housecleaning, preparing for company, etc., but physically, my time is out. I lay down most of the day. I can't wait to hear your stories in the coming weeks.
