Well, tomorrow will be 34 weeks!!! [IMG] I can't believe it! Especially since I delivere C&A just past 34 weeks and spent over 7 weeks on bedrest before that! This has been a breeze by comparison! Although I'm completely exhausted this time around. Bedrest isn't looking so horrible right now [IMG]

I had my OB visit this morning. The heartbeat was about 130 (I really do think it's a boy!!!) and I was measuring a bit small, but the OB said he's not worried since I'm on the small side when not pregnant.

I go back at 36 weeks and then start weekly appts. I'm still on for a c-section April 27th (although a little nervous about the recovery [IMG]), but the OB did say that if I show up at the hospital in labor and very dilated before then that I could try for a VBAC. We'll see... I guess there's really not an ideal way to have a baby! It's not pretty no matter what!

    Thanks for reading [IMG]

Congratulations! I'm a few days away from 34 weeks as well...and I am definitely giving a sigh of relief knowing that I've hit a pretty decent milestone. I'm set to be induced on April 26th (which means I'll probably have the babies on the 27th) so Yippeeeee for our babies' birthdays--if it indeed works out that way! I'm glad this pregnancy has been so much easier for you. Congrats again!

I don't think I ever measured small, even with my singletons! Good for you!
So glad everything is going so well.

Way to go Melissa! Sounds like you are doing great. And I think it's a boy too with that heartbeat! Hang in there, not much longer!

My girls always had high'ish HBs so you can't go by that. [IMG]

34wks is fantastic, Melissa! I'm very happy for you to have had such a great pg this time. You're so close now. You must be getting very excited to meet your new family member!

Question - did you find out the gender of the twins before they arrived or were they a surprise too? If you did know, what made you decide to not know this time?

I agree you can't go by that, although it is fun to guess, I am confused. Are you saying that 130 is high? I would think 130 is low which would go along with Melissa's theory of her baby being a boy since you are talking about girls??

Congrats Melissa! You are now entering unchartered territory [IMG]!

Hopefully Maureen will see this and give you some tips in regards to recovery!

We didn't find out with the twins either, but I did guess correctly - even which sex was in which position!

I know the heartbeat thing is an old wives tale, but it's kind of fun to guess! It will be fun if I have a girl b/c I can really girly up our neutral nursery, but I would love to have another little boy too! One more month until I can find out [IMG]

I don't know... my boys always had really strong heartbeats, they were never under 160. Even up until delivery. Could be a girl!

I am hoping for a girl, since I have two boys...

Congrats on your 34 week milestone!!

Yay Melissa! I can't believe you're 34 weeks already! I'm glad it's been easier than with the twins. [IMG]

Yea for 34 weeks [IMG] what's it like ? hehe- I was impatient enough at 27 weeks although I wish they'd been in there a lot lot longer! I remember when you said you were pregnant last year- and have watched your ticker count the weeks [IMG]

Yay! Hope you get your VBAC anyway! Who knows what could happen...you could go into labor and walk into that hospital at an 8....you never know. But you are right...no matter which way the kid comes out, it still hurts.... I did vaginal for #1...and got a nice 3rd degree tear.... I did c/s for #2&3 b/c of positions...and I'm really nervous for #4... you just never know exactly how anything will turn out.

As for heartbeats...avielle was always a little higher than judah...but not by much....and my niece was always below 140..so you never know!
