34 weeks and 4 days

My babies are 34 weeks and 4 days old and I have been to the hospital twice having contractions and they stop them and send me home. I swear if I have to go to the hospital again and spend 4 hours up there only for them to send me home again I am going to scream! It is getting very frustrating. Both of the babies are weighing in around 6 pounds already! I have a cerclage in place so I am not dialating at all. It is just getting discouraging. Wondering if anyone else has been through this?

 

I went through this with my last baby. I went into PTL at 33 weeksand 3 days, was treated with steroids, Nifedipine, fluids, and Terbutaline. They told me that if I was 34 weeks they wouldn't have stopped my labor. Well...I proceeded to go into labor at about 36.5 weeks and only dilated to 2 and then stopped-I had a labor pattern, painful contractions and everything. They sent me home with T3 and Ambien. The next time I went in I was 37 + weeks and I only dilated 1 cm in 2 hours so I was sent home again, once again in pain and uncomfortable. this happened to me several more times and I took my meds and went to bed and woke up still preggo. I was so frustrated and tired that even though I had my heart set on going into labor on my own for the experience (my first birth was an induction)when my Ob had pity on me and offered to induce I gave in. By then I was only 5 days before my true due date. My hubby and I both are hoping that we do not have to go through the same thing again-we basically didn't sleep for the last month between all of the discomfort and contracting. I feel your pain. I am just surprised that they are stopping them. :hug99: Hang in there you are at the end!!

I am sorry that you are having a hard time, but as a PP said they are in the best place right now.

I was told that my boys were weighing in at over 6 pounds at 36 weeks, and 2 weeks later when they were born neither one even weighed 6 pounds.

Try and take it as easy as you can and try and relax. I know it is hard and extremely uncomfortable (I carried mine to almost 38 weeks and thought I was going to die ), but in the end it is so worth it when your babies get to come home with you.
