Hi, we had a 34 weeks ultrasound today and the boys look good. And BIG. Baby A is 6pd 10 ounces, baby B is 6 pd 11 ounces. So im a little worried about making it to my c-section date. Im working on arranging care for my son in case they come early as my in MIL is coming mid march. Im also a little worried about where all that extra skin is going to get if I get any bigger. At this point my stretch marks arent too bad but geeze, 4 more weeks... scary. At least they are big and healthy though. Do any of you have similar weights for your babies? Just wondering how realistic it is to make it to my c-section date.

I don't know about the weights and delivery date but congratulations on the big, healthy babies.

Mine were in the 6lbs range, one lower, one 6lbs15oz, but the latter was probably overestimated (compared to the rest of his body), they said also lower 6lbs range would be more likely, and they were correct. They were born 7lbs11oz and 7lbs10oz at 38w2d. Very uneventful, I was dialated for 6 weeks, 4 1/2 cm when I went in. U/s can be off about 15% especially at the end. Mine consistently measured 2 weeks ahead during my entire pregnancy.

Big babies is a good thing, right?

I don't have any BTDT advice, but keep in mind that their estimates can be off. They were convinced my first son would be 11+ lbs and he came in an ounce under 9lbs. Don't worry too much about making it to your sched. date. I am sure when they come they will be very well off :) (((HUGS)))

:clapping: for big and healthy babes! My two were measured big on all their u/s's. Don't worry about where the skin will come from, it will stretch, stretch, stretch! U/S's can also be off by a lb give or take. My two were reported both at 7lbs at 38 weeks and were born 6lbs 4oz and 7lbs 14oz. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. :hug99:

you may get fooled. I was told the same thing. Around my 35 week appt, I was told they are close to 7lbs each. when they were born, one was 5lbs and the other was 4lb. Both healthy, but smaller than we had thought.

Are you still up and about or did they put you on bedrest yet? I had to go on bedrest at 35 weeks, till delivery at 37 1/2 weeks. Not fun!

Thanks for your replies. I feel better. My dr is on vacation till march and I really want him to be the one to do my c-section. Im not to crazy about the other doctors at the hospital I will be at. Actually today at my weekly appt, the on call dr wants me to make it till march for my reg dr, I think hes a little worried that he will have to do my c-section and doesnt want to. anyway, good news is my cervix is very soft but not open yet. I am not on bed rest or anything although at times I wish I was as taking care of my 19 month old son gets me exhausted. well gotta go, my son wants to play....
